Running your own business can sometimes feel lonely especially as a solopreneur & mum life juggling all the hats!

12 years ago… I was about to run the London Marathon

I remember the nerves, the excitement, and the sense of taking on something that felt really big.

What I didn’t realise at the time…
was how much that decision signing up for a challenge and committing to the training would change my life 💛

Fast forward to today, and running is still a huge part of my lifestyle.

As a busy mum, it’s my time.
A way to clear my head, move my body, and take a bit of space in a full day.

It doesn’t have to be long or perfect
but it always makes me feel better.

That’s the power of having a goal and a plan.

Feedback is a gift, here is the journey I have shared with Julie a 50yr old mum of two who works full time very demanding career.

Julies review:
I’ve been training with Lucy consistently for the last 3 years, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and fitness.
When I started, I was already a regular runner and had completed half marathons, so my cardio fitness was good — but I had very little upper body strength and no real experience with strength training.
Lucy has completely changed that. I’m now lifting weights I never imagined I could — including 50kg — and I feel so much stronger and more confident in myself.
What’s been amazing is how much it’s helped my running too. I’ve become faster and even beaten my half marathon PB, which I set 10 years ago.
For me, working with Lucy has been a really worthwhile investment. I love the support, the consistency, and knowing I’m training in a way that’s right for me.

Yesterday we had a rare child free day, while being away from home. So we went for a 25km walk, when we finished we felt amazing mentally and physically. We had time to talk, plan and reflect without distraction.

Just wanted to share because we should never underestimate the POWER of a walk!
It’s easy to think you need intense workouts to feel fit and healthy…
But one of the most powerful things you can do is also the simplest 💛

Walking.

Another incredible year around the sun. ☀️
I celebrated with a beach run, a dip in the sea, sauna, birthday tea on the beach at sunset, had the best day with my family in the sunshine!
So grateful to feel young, live in a beautiful place, have amazing people around me, for my health, grateful for everything…

Amy came to me in her second trimester, wanting to exercise safely and confidently through pregnancy, labour, and beyond 🤍

We trained right through each trimester, adapting every session to support her changing body — building strength, mobility, and confidence for birth.

💪 Amy was still training safely on her due date
👶 She had a simple, positive labour the very next day
🌱 When she felt ready postnatally, we focused on restoring her core and pelvic floor from the inside out
🏑 And after 16 weeks, she was strong, stable, and confident enough to return to hockey.
I’m so proud her hard work and consistency has paid off.

This isn’t about rushing or “bouncing back.”
It’s about supporting your body properly, at every stage.
