🌟 Goodbye 🌟

Today was a sad day 😞

We have said goodbye to Lesley our dispensary manager.

Lesley has worked hard at OLMC for 15 years!
She has given so much dedication, time and energy to the surgery, which is greatly appreciated by everyone.

She will be missed by us all and we hope she enjoys her next adventure away from OLMC 😊💜

📢 PS24 📢

Once again we need to inform you that unfortunately the PS24 (prescription machine) is out of order.

The dispensary manager has been out to it already today and reset the machine, however it has gone off again within an hour 😩

Unfortunately the out of hours for the company who deals with the machine is terrible, so this cannot be done until Monday at 9am.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience and are working hard to resolve the recurring issues with it.

We will update you once we are back up and running again.

❗ Important ❗

Our Dispensary team are experiencing high levels of absence due to sickness and holiday.

*EDIT*
The machine is now back up and running. Keeping our fingers crossed it stays that way 🤞🏼
(The PS24 machine is also out of order again which is adding extra pressure on the team with patients collecting direct from the surgery)

Some patients may receive an SMS asking them to contact the surgery, this is important due to nationwide medication shortages.

Please can you be mindful about contacting the surgery and only do so if really necessary today, whilst the team deals with the items that need priority.

Please be patient with our team.

Register and set up their account
Learn how to use the app to manage appointments, prescriptions, and health information
Our team will be there to support with all digital queries
This is a friendly, informal session aimed at building confidence and helping people access NHS services online.

There is no need to book — residents can simply drop in during the session.

Unfortunately the machine is now out of order and the engineer cannot come out until tomorrow.

We will keep you updated on the repair and when the machine is back up and running.

Important information regarding our PS24 (prescription medicine).

Unfortunately the miserable weather is causing problems for some people collecting medications from the machine.

If the weather continues throughout this evening you may encounter problems retrieving your prescriptions.

This is purely weather related and the issue should resolve once the weather improves.

🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄

We want to take this opportunity to wish all of our patients a very Merry Christmas.

Our staff have been extremely spoilt thanks to the generosity of so many of our wonderful patients.
Each staff member pulled a raffle ticket and got a lovely treat to take away with them - it is very much appreciated - thank you 🙏🏼

As you can see from the pictures below we have had some festive visitors to the surgery today 😁

We also want to take a moment to thank our staff for all of their hard work throughout the year but especially over the hectic festive period.

The whole team at OLMC wish you all a lovely Christmas and a healthy New Year 🤞🏼😊

📢 UPDATE 📢

We are back online!! The computers are back up and running, but they are running very slowly and we have intermittent errors so please bear with us. We are trying hard to get normal service back up and running as soon as possible.

The surgery is currently without the internet and we're unable access to our computer system/patient records.

We are working to get this resolved as soon as possible.

🌟 Dispensary 🌟

In order to help our staff and help us to keep things running smoothly for you, please read the following -

1. You can only order 7 days before your medication is due.
If you order before that time the medication will not be ordered.
If you need it sooner, please speak to Dispensary.

2. Patients who use the PS24 (prescription machine) please remember to collect your medication on receiving your text message.
The machine only holds medication for four days and if it is not collected, our staff then have to remove it and reload. This creates more work and also blocks the machine for further medication to be loaded.
If you are unable to collect within the time, please speak to Dispensary.

3. Christmas... As you know it is an extremely busy time for surgery. Please try not to order unless necessary and if you do need to order your medication early, please speak to Dispensary.

Our hardworking staff really appreciate your patience and support.
