We recently had a lovely visit from Finley the canine therapy dog. Finley is only 18 months old so is still a baby and still has some growing to do.

We recently celebrated Employee of the month with Sarah one of our seniors and Aghil one of our carers. They are a big asset to Westfield. Congratulations to both of them.

That's Christmas!
Santa visited us this Christmas and spread joy and happiness.

Yesterday our residents and staff enjoyed our Christmas party with entertainment from Julie and Steve from memory lane followed by a lovely buffet which Andy our chef and kitchen assistants prepared for everyone to enjoy.

On Wednesday we had a outing to Dobbies garden centre for shopping and lunch followed by a trip to the Savoy cinema to watch Andre Rieu Christmas concert. Even with the heating at the cinema broken everyone enjoyed the concert.

Today we had a visit from Lyn and Jane from Zion Knit and Knatter group. The group had knitted blankets for our residents. As well as the blankets they brought some lovely cakes with them which residents and staff enjoyed. Residents chose their own blanket.

Last week we had an outing ten pin bowling afterwards we went for lunch at the Spirit of Endevour where Tim enjoyed a cheeky beer.

Last friday our residents and staff got in to Halloween spirit. Residents and staff dressed up and enjoyed our Halloween party. Staff voted for the best dressed resident who was Gill she won a skull filled with sweets. Aghil our new carer definetly got in to the spirit as chainsaw massacre.

Today we had holy communion, prayers and sung two hymns which residents chose this was led by Father David from St Botolph's Church. After the service residents gave Father David a box of food which was collected for harvest, this will go to the food bank at the church.
