After some technical problems we are at last back!
We have been busy we had our summer BBQ party with entertainment from Memory Lane, residents were singing and dancing along to the songs. They were so good the residents asked to have them back for our Christmas party. It was the one day we had rain , lucky we had a gazebo up for Andy our chief and Ernie to cook and staff joined in taking orders and running out to get the food. This didn't dappen the atmosphere. Tim our lovely resident won the main raffle prize which he said he will enjoy.
We have been on outings to the Wolds Wildlife Park, day out in Cleethorps where we had lunch, walk along the promenade and of course we couldn`t leave before having an ice cream. We have also been out to Dobbies garden centre where residents enjoyed looking round the shop and at the plants followed by tea and cake. Another day out was in the morning a walk around Westwood Lakes stopping off half way round for refreshments then in the afternoon a walk around Jenny's wood where residents picked some apples from the orchard there and then went for a cup of tea at the Fishermans Rest. Another outing was a walk in to Boston to Central Park to join in the community sing along, one resident enjoyed walking in the sand after singing as the park had been set up as a beach for the week.
In the home we have been busy doing singing, playing musical instruments, chair exercises, art and craft, playing board games, baking. One resident taught one of our wellbeing team cribbage which he used to play with his dad another resident joined in as she used to play it.
