If you’ve never been to a ceilidh before, it’s simply a relaxed social dance with live traditional music and a friendly caller who talks everyone through the steps. No experience is needed, no pressure to get it right!

We need Bric-a-brac donations across our Butterfly Hospice retail stores 🛍️

If you have unwanted homeware, ornaments or decorative bits and pieces lying around, we would love to help find them a new home.

Our charity shops are currently in need of bric-a-brac donations to keep shelves stocked and raise vital funds to support hospice care locally.

You can drop donations off at any of our retail stores.

Following on from our Retail Christmas Window Competition the Horncastle team have now received their award, which will be proudly displayed in store.

Alongside the award, the team were also treated to a selection of coffee, tea and biscuits as a small thank you for their effort and creativity.

Thank you to everyone who took part, voted and supported the competition and a huge well done to the Horncastle team for a fantastic window display.

We woke up to a snowy hospice… and an unexpected visitor ☃️

Meet Tiny Tim, our pocket sized snowman, who decided to take himself on a little wander around the grounds. He’s been spotted enjoying the fresh air and making himself at home in the snow.

We’re not sure how long he plans to stay, but for as long as he is about stay warm and take care ❄️

Last week, Mountain's Boston Sausage very kindly donated turkey, sausagemeat, pigs in blankets and potatoes to our kitchen, so that we could serve up a delicious Christmas Dinner to our guests, their families and the staff working on Christmas Day.

This generous donation was truly appreciated by everyone and helped make Christmas Day feel that little bit more special for those spending it with us. Acts of kindness like this bring comfort and a real sense of community at such an important time of year.

Last week Santa kindly sent one of his own to lend a hand here at the Butterfly Hospice 🎅

Our brilliant Site Support Technician, Mick, embraced the festive spirit and arrived dressed as one of Santa’s helpers, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter with him.

Small moments like these can make a big difference and Mick’s effort certainly lifted spirits across the hospice.
