📺✨ We were delighted to see Mount Croft Care Home, Bromsgrove featured on Good Morning Britain yesterday!

Our Back to School Day brought smiles, laughter, and cherished memories as residents stepped back in time to their school days. Built on the old site of The Mount School, the event was made extra special by welcoming former students, who joined us to enjoy nostalgic food, games, and plenty of reminiscing. 🍎🎒

It was a wonderful day of connection, stories, and community spirit – thank you to everyone who made it so memorable! 💛

Sandpiper was buzzing with excitement as residents enjoyed a thrilling and educational Reptile Day, bringing them face-to-face with some truly fascinating creatures.

The event featured a special visit from a variety of reptiles, each with their own unique charm. Godzilla the Bearded Dragon impressed everyone with his calm and friendly nature, while Violet the Tortoise took her time making rounds and winning hearts. Brenda the Corn Snake and Bo the Bull Python were also stars of the show, delighting residents with their gentle presence and sparking curiosity throughout the room.

It was a day filled with smiles, discovery, and conversation, as residents engaged in learning more about these remarkable animals. The hands-on experience not only entertained but also brought joy and a sense of wonder to all who took part.

Abbey Wood Lodge, has introduced an exciting initiative this year: the Gardening Club. This vibrant gathering invites residents to share in the pleasures of outdoor activities and cultivate friendships while caring for the garden.

The club meets every two weeks to tackle various tasks around the grounds. With gardening, there is never a shortage of things to do, and that has certainly been the case. Recently, the gardeners embraced the task of planting out an array of bedding plants in bright, colourful pots, transforming the space with their vibrant hues. In their next session, they dove into the seed packet collection, planting seeds with the hope of nurturing new blooms. The delight has been palpable as flowers began to burst forth, filling the garden with charm and colour throughout July.

A heartwarming touch was added when the club crafted bird feeders, ensuring the feathered friends had enough sustenance and keeping bird baths replenished during hot weather. The garden, complete with refreshing drinks, became a sanctuary where everyone could gather, savouring the aromatic scents, cheerful bird songs, and rays of sunshine.

Trafford Waters Care Home Brews Community Spirit with Weekly Coffee Mornings

Trafford Waters Care Home was filled with warmth, conversation, and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee, as residents, staff, and members of the local church community came together for a heart warming coffee morning.

The event welcomed a fantastic turnout, with guests sharing stories, laughter, and homemade cakes around the table. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to connect with new faces, reminisce, and forge meaningful relationships with members of the wider community.

Home Manager Ellie Wibberley commented:

“It was wonderful to see so many people come together. These mornings are more than just a social event — they help bridge generations, reduce isolation, and bring joy to everyone involved.”

Due to the positive response, Trafford Waters Care Home is pleased to announce that coffee mornings will now be held every Friday. This week, one of our residents, Chris, had a very special wish fulfilled, to go horse riding, something she’s dreamed of since childhood. 🐴💫

Thanks to the support of Lifestyle Manager, Carla, Chris saddled up and enjoyed a fantastic day out that brought pure joy and unforgettable memories.

The best part? She loved it so much, she’s going back in two weeks! 🥰

This company-wide initiative brought together our homes, residents, and local communities to create memorable summer picnic experiences, and the results were nothing short of amazing. 🌞🧺🍓
