A Christmas Message from the Home Manager

Good evening, everyone. I hope you're all well and looking forward to Christmas. It's been a busy time at the home with festive activities, music, and delicious food. We've recently overcome a respiratory illness outbreak. To protect our residents, please refrain from visiting if you're feeling unwell. If you do visit, we kindly request you wear a mask and sanitize your hands regularly. Staff will continue to wear masks due to rising flu cases, as advised by the health protection team.

As Christmas approaches, I took a moment to reflect on our incredible Georgians family. I feel so fortunate to have such an amazing team and wonderful residents. It's an honor to be the manager of the Georgians Nursing Home, where I began my care career at 15. I never imagined I'd be manager, but I'm dedicated to seeing the Georgians grow and thrive. With my team and our lovely residents, I know we'll succeed. Caring for each resident is my pride and joy.

This first year of management has been challenging with the loss of beloved staff and cherished residents. However, I believe 2026 will be our year to make them proud of our daily efforts and the community we're building.

So, I raise a glass to those we've lost and send a big Georgians hug to heaven, so they know we remember them fondly. And to our amazing staff, families, and friends who make us the family we are, I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a new year filled with love and happiness. Let's not be sad when we remember those we've lost, but be thankful for the special part they played in our lives and that they will never be forgotten.
