Chilblains (Perniosis) are inflamed small blood vessels caused by an abnormal reaction to damp cold conditions, especially in people with poor circulation and with poor mobility. This causes patches on hands and feet that can look mottled with bluish/red discolouration which usually itch/burn/sting and can be very painful.
Chilblain sufferers should always try to prevent them where possible before the cold weather sets in, but if you already have them it is worth treating them with chilblain ointment. Prevention starts with keeping the whole body warm, both at home and outside.

Thank you to all our lovely customers who bought raffle tickets during November. The prize was a free treatment at the clinic. One of our patients, Miss Smith, drew out the name of the winner, who has kindly donated the treatment cost to the charity, meaning we raised a total of £222 for the NSPCC.

Cheers to 10 years!! 🤩🥳 Pen Street Foot Clinic is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this month! We would like to say a massive thank you to all our clients over the years. I would also like to say a massive thank you to our receptionist Sharon for keeping the clinic running efficiently year after year.
This month we are supporting Beth running the London Marathon for the NSPCC so for the bargain price of a 50p raffle ticket, patients can win a free treatment. 😁😁
Sally.
