On a recent visit to Edinburgh, we explored St Giles Cathedral. There was a beautiful opportunity to reflect on and add to the cultivation of love ❤️ This got me thinking about what else I would like to cultivate. So coming away, I decided to plan our February yoga theme around this.
Our Feb practice will encourage us to take some time out of planning, arranging, thinking about what needs to be done next and explore what we want to cultivate on and off the mat. Maybe it’s self compassion, trust, patience or just allowing yourself to just be. Somatic yoga and mindful movement to encourage and cultivate a sense of ease… in the body and the mind x

On World Mental Health Day, I am very happy and proud to share the news that Boston Wellbing Hub will be launching from Centenary Church next week. I am very very excited about this new development and the opportunities it brings. When you are struggling with your mental health and wellbeing, it can be difficult to know what kind of support you might need, where to find it, and how to go about accessing it. The Centenary Methodist Church, as the ‘home’ of the Wellbeing hub, will offer a welcoming and safe space within the community where people can access a wide range of information, guidance and support under one roof.

Todays session at The Black Sluice - After some gentle movement and meditation, we moved into neurographic art which involves some of the simplest and deepest forms of explorative creativity. I love the fact that no artistic abilities are required (my drawing skills are definitely not the best 😊) and that the focus is on enjoying the process rather than the end result. Neurographic art is not only intuitive but greatly beneficial to our emotional and calming states, useful for stress and anxiety.

Life, particularly at this time of year, can feel busy and overwhelming. If we take some time to breath, move our bodies and create space to step out of the busyness, we can take care of our nervous system and find some calm.

Decembers practice will explore yoga for feeling calm, feeling grounded and finding balance 💕
