This week is National Dementia Awareness week💙
Did you know, dementia can affect more than memory, it can also change the way a person sees and understands the world around them.
During Dementia Awareness Week we are raising awareness of how dementia may impact vision including:
- Difficulty judging distances
- Problems recognising faces or objects
- Increased sensitivity to light and glare
- Changes in depth perception and contrast awareness

Did you know that you can book an advanced 3D eye scan for assessing your eye and general health? Our OCT scan is a quick, non-invasive procedure which allows us to scan beneath the surfaces of the eye and check for potentially serious conditions. Dr Mackie are available to discuss these scans with each individual patient and are able to carry these out under the NHS.
