From impression to final fit, each stage of creating dentures is a step closer to restoring your smile and confidence 🦋

Stage 1 - The Primary impression, the dentist will take an initial mold of the patient's mouth. This is done using a soft material which is placed in a tray and then inserted into the mouth. The patient bites down or holds the material in place for a few minutes until it sets, capturing the general shape of the gums, teeth (if any), and other oral structures.

Stage 2 - During the secondary impressions and bite registration stages for dentures, the process becomes more precise to ensure the final dentures fit comfortably and function properly.

Stage 3 - The Denture Try-in appointment, you get to try a preview version of your dentures to ensure they fit and look right before they are finalised. The dentist place a wax model of your dentures in your mouth. These dentures have the teeth set in wax, allowing adjustments to be made easily. Checking Fit and Comfort, evaluating appearance, making Adjustments & final approval once the patient and the dentist are happy with the fit and appearance, the wax dentures will be sent back to the lab to be made into the final, permanent dentures.

Stage 4 - At the Denture Fit appointment, you receive your final dentures and the dentist ensures they fit properly and are comfortable. Carrying out any adjustments, If the dentures feel too tight, loose, or cause any sore spots, the dentist can make minor adjustments on the spot. This ensures they fit as comfortably as possible.

The dentist will give you instructions on how to care for your new dentures, including how to clean them, when to remove them, and tips for adjusting to wearing them.

The dentist may schedule a follow-up appointment to check how you’re adjusting to the dentures and make any necessary further adjustments after you’ve worn them for a while. This appointment is all about ensuring your new dentures fit well, feel comfortable, and help you eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

Welcome to our official page! We are a friendly and welcoming dental practice with a professional team of staff members. The practice provides treatment both on a private and NHS basis, cosmetic and preventative. We also provide a Patient Plan monthly payment scheme to make private treatments more affordable.
