🎃👻 Spooktacular times at Maplewood! 👻🎃

What a fang-tastic week it’s been! We kicked things off by inviting everyone — big and little ghouls alike — to our Trick or Treating event, which went down eerily well 👀🍬

Then came our residents’ Halloween party, where everyone showed off their spookiest, funniest, and most creative costumes! 🧛‍♀️🕸️🧙‍♂️

A huge thank you to the lovely Janet Swanell for getting the party started and keeping the spirits high 🪩🎶 — and to our amazing friend of Maplewood Lynn for yet another frightfully fabulous cake! 🎂🧡

We had such a hauntingly good time — can’t wait to do it all again next year!

What a fantastic day raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our pink pyjama party. We were joined by Birchwood Heights Care Home and Rosewater Care Home and enjoyed bingo and snacks!

Thank you so much to Tasha for making our sweet hamper which was being raffled today and Lynne Lovell for making the fabulous cake.

The biggest thank you of all goes to our amazing staff team who really joined in with the fun today being dressed in pink pj’s - even the residents joined in 💕💕

🎀 Big Pink Pyjama Day Tomorrow! 🎀

Tomorrow we’re going all out pink (and cosy!) for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💕 Join us for our Big Pink Pyjama Day as we raise funds and awareness for such an important cause.

We’ll also be holding a raffle, featuring a stunning pink sweet bouquet lovingly made by our amazing Head of Hospitality 🍬💖 — a true treat for the eyes (and taste buds)!

What is 1 thing that you cannot afford but need right now 🤔 let's see what others say, maybe you have it & you don't need it, can pass it on to them or have a connection to get it.

I saw this on another community group and it was absolutely amazing to see the kindness and generosity especially at this time of the year so let's carry it on.

Perhaps we can help each other, together we can get through this.

Safe to say our Mon was in her element this morning out shopping at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre 🤗

Her bank account may have taken a hit but our hearts are full, being able to take Monica shopping was really important to us as she is a fashionista and makes us all jealous with her beautiful style 💃

🌿 Mental Health Brunch at Maplewood 🌿

Today we came together for our Mental Health Brunch, where everyone made a dish and brought it in to quite literally break bread with one another 💚

Over delicious food and plenty of laughter, we opened up about our wellbeing, shared thoughts, listened, and supported one another — reminding ourselves that we’re all part of one big Maplewood family.

It’s so important to talk about mental health — to share, to listen, and to know that it’s okay not to be okay. 💬

At Maplewood, we truly believe sharing is caring, and sometimes a good chat over a home-cooked meal can make all the difference.

✨🐴 Big hearts come in small packages! 🐴✨

Our miniature horse heroes are trotting in to spread joy, comfort, and smiles. Pet therapy has an incredible way of lifting spirits — reminding us that healing and happiness come in all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s a gentle nuzzle, a soft mane to brush, or simply their calming presence, these little therapy horses prove that love knows no limits. 💖

No matter the age, no matter the size, the power of pet therapy is truly magical. 🌟

Maplewood Court are pleased to be part of Unblocktober 2025. This is the UK’s National Campaign to protect our drains, sewers, rivers and seas. Over the past 7 years actions taken have helped stop fatbergs and have sparked change. During Unblocktober we will be making our pledges to helping both at work and at home and looking to help clean up waste that harms our waters and shores to have a cleaner, safer state for our wildlife and people
