VIRTUAL GROUP ANNOUNCEMENT

As a temporary measure during these extraordinary times our Bourne End SlimmingWorld group will run as a Virtual Group using the free online platform called Zoom - not as scary as it may sound! Believe me - I was scared when it was announced to us and already a lot of my fear has gone!!

It's actually a really good short term solution to ensure that anyone who wants to be a part of the loving and supportive SlimmingWorld community can be connected to each other and keep the focus on our weight and how to eat the best way we can - taking into full account the challenging circumstances we are in.

And guess what? It's actually really FUN! I did a trial run with the Social Team last night and it worked really well 😀

We can share how we are managing healthy eating within our circumstances and I'm sure pass on lots of helpful tips and offer much needed support to each other at this time.

HOW WILL THIS WORK?

The way our Group will work is that I intend to offer 2 sessions - as a Zoom Group is most effective with a maximum of 24 participants.

Message me direct - on my mobile please 07788860471 - to let me know if you would like to join - or rejoin if you are a past member and i will take all relevant details from you - and ask you which session you would like to attend.I will be allocating the time slots on a first come basis.

I will run our first Virtual Group next Tuesday at 5.30 pm and the second session at 6pm - if you know of anyone else - possibly past members or friends or family who would like to join our lovely community to tap into the wonderful support and encouragement we offer each other. I would look to add a third session if numbers require that.

There is no charge next week as this is our first go at it!

Let's bring at least some sense of routine and bring some structure into our eating so we can be the best version of ourselves during this unique experience.

CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS

From the point of view of the virus SlimmingWorld are happy for all groups to continue provided we take the sensible precautions recommended at this time.

Just to put your minds at rest the hall will be made as clean as possible - all surfaces will be wiped with antibacterial wipes and ventilation will be good - doors open so no opening or closing required by you. Queue for pay will be spaced according to people's comfort. If everyone pays by card there is no need for anyone to touch anything.

Chairs for group will be positioned a good distance apart so group will go ahead as usual. I know for me that when things feel out of my control i like to know that I can control my food as that makes me feel good and calm - I am completely there for each and every member who wants to take control of their life.
