We posted this last year, but it's always a good reminder:

If you're taking Sertraline, Citalopram, Duloxetine, Fluoxetine, Mirtazapine, or any other SNRI/SSRI/anti-psychotic medication then you are more prone to overheating and dehydration.

Please take extra precautions to stay safe in the heat; stay hydrated, dress accordingly, wear suncream and keep in the shade where possible

We are on the lookout for volunteers to support our busy Night Light Cafe Team. In return, we will offer

This week is and we are so grateful to all of ours. We wouldn't exist without them. Our café is fully staffed by volunteers, wonderful people who give up their evenings to provide a listening ear and a cuppa for anyone who is experiencing anxiety, depression or suicidal thoughts. A huge thank you to all of you!

The Night Light service will be closed on Monday 23rd December, and Wednesday 25th December, but Don't Lose Hope will be open during the day on the 25th December if you need some company or be somewhere different to home.

We will be opening again on Christmas day this year between 11 and 3. This is for anyone who is going to be alone, or needs to be somewhere different to home. We will have food, drinks, games and company 😊

ICB Quality Team members Anne and Claire were invited to the Christmas evening at the Don’t Lose Hope Night Light Café last night in Bourne. The Tuneless Choir Bourne came, and everyone sang Christmas Carols and well known Christmas songs, it was an amazing Christmas atmosphere. Anne and Claire chatted with people who use the Night Light Café who told us how the Night Light Café has helped through some difficult periods and have had a positive impact in their lives. They also spoke with the volunteers who run the café and organised the Christmas evening.

Night Light Cafés are safe spaces, for anyone over the age of 18 years, that offer an out-of-hours, non-clinical support service and are staffed by teams of trained volunteers who are available to listen. They can also provide signposting advice and information on other organisations that may be able to help with specific needs, such as debt advice or emergency food parcels. Café environments have been created in church buildings and existing cafes to provide a place of safety where guests are welcomed and cared for.

It can be really difficult to spot glimmers, especially if caught up in the news. Glimmers are there. Take a moment to think of yours. It can be something really small like noticing the colours of the autumn trees, a random act of kindness, a visit to the Night Light Café!
