Working with children and teens is a huge part of my practice and daily space.

Being a Mum and experiencing first hand the impact of anxiety on a child alongside seeing children daily who need support in this area really highlights the fact our busy word is overwhelming and scary when we don’t understand it.

Change in mood
Withdrawal
Anger
Anxiety
School avoidance

Are all changes children experience when they are finding things difficult to process, understand and see.

As a parent one thing that has really helped us is just noticing each day the achievement.
Writing down what’s been done.

Focusing on the positives in the day really helps our brain to find evidence of achievement and also rewire for better outcomes over a period of time.

I am currently supporting a number of women who are in perimenopause and realising and noticing changes in their mood, fatigue, body aches, additional sensitivities, adding additional anxiety too a day that used to be easy and is now really overwhelming.

It can be difficult to admit when things don’t work the way they used to or your body doesn’t feel like it did.

Finding the right support, getting a supportive GP and doing your own research can help a lot. Even talking to friends going through a similar situation can stop you feeling like it’s just you.

I have a real interest in supplemental support especially knowing that stressed bodies deplete of so many vitamins and minerals quickly that finding nutritional support can be beneficial.

I’ve linked below a great article from Cytoplan who I highly recommend their supplements are plant based, capsule or powder formulated and researched.

We’re in this random part of December where we probably have no plans, fed up of food and just getting some downtime if your lucky too be off work.

I love this time. I don’t have to be anywhere or do anything if I don’t want too. The mini humans happy to be home playing and gaming and the dog is the chief Napster anyway so she’s happy either way.

One thing I will be doing today is looking at the bits of my year 2025 id like to delete, they are not coming into 2026 and the bits that are.

Habits, behaviours, routines.

What supported 2025 and what didn’t.

Daily routine, movement, food, sleep, people, places and things all impact us on the daily so choosing how to manage it and move it into 2026 is waaaayyyy better than the new year, new me s**t your going to think you need to do.

Look at it as an upgrade, an opportunity to choose and do better for you. If you’re in a place of working towards the best version of you then everyone else gets that impact too. Win, win 💖

What was good about 2025?

( despite many wanting to write it off, there will be something 😉) Promise ✨

My Story

Hummingbird Hypnotherapy offers confidential person centred sessions for adults andchildren from age 6 dealing with a variety of issues. For example, stress, anxiety, depression, confidence, overthinking, negativity, anger, PTSD, Trauma, Loss, OCD, general well being, phobias, selective mutism, tics and nail biting and much more.

Hourly sessions are built around the client enabling trust and confidence to grow in a positive atmosphere. It is important to build a positive and trusting relatioship so that clients respond well and can focus confidently on their achievements and goals.

Positive relaxation classes are also available for adults with Relax at 6pm every friday.

Kalm Kidzz is a half hour mindful session assisting young people to relax, unwind and focus on their positive achievements.
