Part of the Kingsley Healthcare Group. Highcliffe provides quality nursing and dementia care for up to 45 residents at any one time.

Set on the Dorset coast in Highcliffe, a short stroll from the clifftop, Highcliffe Nursing Home offers a restful setting for nursing, dementia and residential care. Large, comfortable communal areas are equipped with plenty of comfortable chairs and large flat screen televisions, and residents have independent access to a secure landscaped garden. To find out information about current availability, a person centred assessment or to simply arrange a visit please do not hesitate to contact the home. We actively encourage those who are considering living at Highcliffe to visit and spend some time with us to gain an accurate perception of the care we offer. You are invited to come for lunch or just for a look round the property. Staff are around at all times of the day and they will be happy to give you a guided tour and answer your questions. If you would like a discussion with the manager, then an appointment can always be made.

🌴🥥 Happy World Coconut Day! 🥥🌴

We had a fantastic time celebrating with some creative fun! Our residents enjoyed coloring in beautiful palm trees, and Beryl was delighted with her refreshing Pina Colada mocktail! 🍹✨ Estelle was just getting started on her masterpiece, and we can't wait to see the final result!

A big shoutout to Activities Sue and Carole for whipping up these delicious Pina Colada mocktails! Using fresh coconut milk, tinned coconut milk, pineapple juice, and zesty fresh limes, they mixed everything in a cocktail shaker and topped it off with a splash of lemonade. Cheers to a delightful Coconut Day filled with laughter and creativity! 💜🙌

We celebrated National Beach Day by doing beach themed arts and crafts 🌴🏖️

Using paper plates, we cut out the middle to make a porthole. We used paint and glue, choosing a beach cut out picture and positioned it on the portholes.

Beryl thoroughly enjoyed making hers. David appeared very happy with his achievement. Beryl looking through her fabulous completed porthole!

We also had a beach quiz - what you wear to the beach, what you eat, do, drink, see? We wrote the answers on a whiteboard 🙌

We had a flower arranging session - our residents enjoyed choosing the flowers to make their own displays - mostly pink and white flowers, along with some greenery 🌷🌴

The vases of flowers are now spread around the home, brightening up the rooms and corridors ☀️

Our residents enjoyed a day out in Christchurch where we visited The Priory!

We admired the architecture, said our prayers and engaged in conversations with the other visitors. We then went to feed the beautiful swans down the Quay 🦢😍

We had a visit from ABC Nursery this morning with Jackie, Roman, Ethan and Marley. Jackie the Childminder also celebrated her Birthday 🙌

We had fun making paper planes and using a massive material parachute with balloons. Brenda enjoyed spending time with the children.

The children loved being underneath the parachute, and helped to make waves 🌈🌊

We had a big yoga class today including visitors, residents and staff taking part 💜

Our residents were really impressed by the children and how much they enjoyed taking part.

One hand patting your head, the other hand doing circles on your tummy.

On Wednesday afternoon we had a trip out to our local fantastic cliff top venue, The Cliffhanger.

A short walk down the road and we were at the seaside, singing all the way 🎶☀️

We had tea, coffee, lemonade and delicious Victoria sponge. Kasha and Brian waiting for their drinks.

🌼✨ Celebrating Dignity Day at Highcliffe! ✨🌼

We had a wonderful time in the garden discussing what dignity means to each of us. Our residents shared their thoughts using cut-out hand shapes, creating a beautiful display of personal reflections.

🤝 Brian shared, “I choose if I want to do something,” highlighting the importance of choice in our lives. Robin added, “That I can be me,” reminding us that dignity is about being true to ourselves.

Barbara was particularly engaged with the Dignity information that Carole presented, sparking meaningful conversations among everyone.
