We’re excited to share a meaningful new chapter in our journey at MA Marine Burials at Sea.
We've recently equipped our vessel with Star-link internet, allowing us to offer something truly special: live-streamed Burials at Sea. This new service means families who are unable to be on board can now witness and be part of their loved one’s final voyage—from anywhere in the world.
After 12 years of running our YouTube channel, we’re nearly ready to launch this heartfelt service. Everything—our cameras, streaming system, and connectivity—is in place. However, there’s just one small hurdle:
To enable private live-streaming on YouTube, we need to reach a minimum of 50 subscribers.

Meeting and Liaising with the Family of the Deceased
Available to you 24 hours a day 7 days a week
Arrangements made at the funeral directors or in the comfort of your own home
Arranging the Death Certificate, Freedom from Infection Certificate and obtaining a Coroners Out of England form 103
Sending these certificates to Mamarine for the MMO
(Marine Management Organisations) Burial at Sea to be obtained
The use of Full funeral home facilities
Collect the Deceased free of charge within 70 miles of Bournemouth.
Collection from anywhere in mainland UK (mileage Charge After 70 Miles)
Use of chapels with no time restrictions
Viewings available up to 24 hours prior to committal by appointment only
Assisting the family with the arrangements for the DNA Consent Form and transportation of the deceased to Southampton Hospital for the DNA samples to be obtained (an MMO requirement from 1st October 2023).
Maintaining Contact with the Family, Coroner and Burials at Sea Company
Supplying an MMO compliant marine coffin
Preparing the Deceased for Burial at Sea
Maintaining contact with the Family prior to going to sea
Delivery and Transfer the Deceased to the boat prior to going to sea
Funeral Director to Accompany family at sea
Boat's Sound system can be used for your own prepared "playlist" of Music - IPhone/android connector

* Prices from 1 October 2023 for all Burials at the MMO Needles Site will have additional fees to pay for the mandatory MMO DNA sampling costs.

Permission is required for a burial at sea in the UK marine area.
