From the minute your baby is put into your arms you are ‘postnatal’.. the exertion of childbirth whether naturally or abdominal surgery you are recovering from the biggest thing your body has ever been through. Going straight from that into new holding, feeding, rocking and gazing positions… straight into newborn life is hard whilst yourself recovering and adjusting to motherhood..And it’s rewarding but relentless.. so it’s so important to make time for you.. the new mum. Then later.. wrestling bigger babies and toddlers into car seats, trolleys and baths it’s physically hard .. picking toys up from the floor while hip carrying babies .. it’s quite the work out.. then even later the mental load of the ‘mother juggle ‘with work, running a household, other children and logistics of nursery and school drop offs … Motherhood is a quite a wonderful rollercoaster .. but all mums are ‘postnatal forever’ and could always do with a bit of time out and time for themselves once in a while both physically and mentally … so take good care of YOU .. book that massage 🥰
