I kindly ask that all clients complete any forms I send out before their appointment. I manually send these forms for a few important reasons:

• To save time on the day – this means more hands-on treatment time for you!
• To check allergies & product suitability – so I can prepare everything you need safely and correctly.
• For massage treatments – if you’re managing certain conditions, I may do some research beforehand to make sure your treatment is as beneficial and tailored as possible.
• To ensure your booked treatment is safe – or to adapt it if needed. For example, I once had a new mum book a chemical peel which wasn’t suitable at that time. Because I had her form in advance, I was able to contact her and switch to a safer alternative. I’d hate to ever have to turn someone away, but safety always comes first!

I often get asked what a normal skin reaction looks like after an IPL hair removal treatment — so here’s a quick guide 👇

In the photos below, you can see the ideal reactions we look for during treatment:
✅ Follicular swelling – tiny, raised bumps around the hair follicles show that the light energy has effectively targeted the hair root.
✅ Mild erythema (redness) – a gentle flush to the skin, similar to what you might see after waxing, which usually settles within a few hours.

These are great signs that the treatment is working effectively while the skin is responding safely. 💫

Aftercare is simple — keep the area clean, avoid heat treatments and sun exposure for 24–48 hours, and always apply SPF if the area is exposed. 🌿

After your IPL treatment, there are a few simple things you can do to help your body achieve the best possible results 👇

💧 Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water in the days following your treatment. This helps your body naturally break down and clear away the treated blood vessels.

🚫 Avoid Alcohol – Try to avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours after your treatment (ideally for a full week if you can!).
Here’s why 👉 alcohol widens blood vessels, while IPL works by gently shrinking them. Drinking too soon can make the treatment less effective and slow down your results.

These small steps can make a big difference in how well your skin responds — helping you achieve clearer, calmer, and more even-toned skin faster 🌸
