January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, and the HPV vaccine helps protect young people from the virus that causes most cervical cancers.

If you’re a parent or carer, please look out for the HPV vaccine permission form and return it to the school.

The HPV vaccine protects against more than cervical cancer - it safeguards all young adults, women and men, from ge***al warts and some cancers of the ge***al areas and a**s, as well as some mouth and throat (head and neck) cancers. ♂️♀️

MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.

It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox. Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps
reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.

You don’t need to do anything - your GP will be in touch when your child is due.
