Are you wondering about attending a face to face course with the Recovery Education Centre?

"Very positive feelings and great teachers" and "Easy to speak but no pressure" were just some of the comments our students have made after attending recent courses.

We have places available in July on courses in Sherborne, Dorchester and Portland and our new timetable for the Autumn Term will be sent out in the middle of August with all courses open for booking.

Our REC trainers love delivering courses across Dorset and one of our favourite places to go is the beautiful market town of Sherborne.

In July we are offering our What is Recovery? face to face course in Sherborne and currently have places available. This one session courses explores what recovery means to us through shared learning, reflection, definitions and models. We think about our own strengths, skills, values and recovery journey whilst acknowledging the challenges.

Our trainers always enjoy delivering our face to face courses as they love the interaction with our students and each other.

Sometimes our students do things though that make our lives a little bit extra special. Our trainers returned from a course this week absolutely delighted with the sharing of experiences and connections that had been made on the course.

Students had also kindly brought in homemade cake and created and gifted this beautiful piece of artwork that was very gratefully received by the team. It's wonderful to see how students use their creative skills to support their recovery journey.

We often talk about enrolling as a student with us but what does that actually look like?

A Recovery Education Centre enrolment appointment is simply having a chat with one of our Admission Tutors. The Tutor will be able to talk through the different courses and how they run. We help you identify your strengths and hopes for the future. We make a plan together to help you feel safe and comfortable on courses and answer any questions you have about the REC.

We offer face to face or online appointments - it's your choice. Once you've registered, we call you and you can arrange an appointment for a time, date and way that suits you.
