VE Day Celebrations at Blenheim

We marked VE Day at Blenheim today with a lovely garden party filled with plenty of delicious food and sweet treats — including homemade jam tarts!

A big thank you to Mandy, one of our amazing carers, for stepping in to help in the kitchen, and to Jade, our fantastic Activities Coordinator, for putting together such a special day.

We sang classic wartime songs and spent time reminiscing about memories from 80 years ago — a truly heart-warming celebration.

Blenheim Care Home in Bournemouth provides affordable high-quality residential, end-of-life and palliative care for older people with dementia.

We have a wealth of specialist experience of caring for people with mixed dementia, vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies.

At Blenheim, we don’t label people. We treat everyone as an individual. As their needs change, so do the level and type of care they receive from us. Blenheim is their home.

As well as caring for our residents we care about their families too. We don’t have set visiting times, and our door is always open for a chat. We also have a quarterly residents’ and families’ forum and listen to feedback and suggestions.
