Residents are extremely happy that the Trishaw is back. We managed to get out and have a lovely trip down the river. With thanks to CWA Wessex, we are looking forward to nicer days and lovely trips out.

Aujourd’hui, nous avons appris le français. Translated, means, today we learnt French. During a residents forum meeting we were asked if we could organise for residents to learn a new language. Residents asked and we delivered, Everyone is really enjoying their new class with Madame Sam and can't wait for the next one in April.

As part of we have started a mens club hosted by our general manager Morgyn and maintenance manager Chris, this week residents enjoyed a lovely pub lunch with views of our lovely coastline. It wouldn't be a pub lunch without a pint! And what a beautiful day for it they had 🌞

What an amazing day we had celebrating Red Nose Day in support of Comic Relief! ❤️
Our residents and team enjoyed home‑baked fun‑face cookies and freshly made smoothies — all while keeping active with some light exercise. A perfect mix of fun, flavour, and fitness! 🍪💪🍓

Residents at Southbourne Beach Care Home - Avery Collection had a lovely stroll along the river at Christchurch Quay this afternoon and fed the swans. Although it was rather windy the sun shone beautifully for us 🌞

There was plenty of Shamrocks, Shillelaghs and Shenanigans at Southbourne Beach Care Home as we celebrated St Patrick’s Day!
We had the pleasure of welcoming the talented dancers from The O'Leary Academy of Irish Dancing, whose energetic Irish themed performance brought a wonderful sense of joy and celebration ahead of St Patrick’s Day.
This afternoon, residents enjoyed Irish themed refreshments, including Baileys and Guinness, before testing their knowledge—and calling on the luck of the Irish—in our themed pub quiz.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make today such a fantastic experience for all involved.

Happy mothers day to all our lovely mums at Southbourne Beach Care Home - Avery Collection. We celebrated with some lovely cake, fizz and entertainment from Jewel Harmonies. The pre lunch drinks in the bistro were exceptionally busy this week. It was lovely to see so many families celebrating together ❤️

World Book day celebrated on 5th March, we had the pleasure of welcoming Tops Day Nurseries: Pokesdown along with local MP Tom Hayes. Residents, staff and children dressed up for the day and we read through some of our favourite books. Tom read the children the story of goldilocks and the three bears.

What a lovely afternoon spent with our friends from Westbourne Tower Care Home - Avery Collection. Lunch in our private dining room followed by an interview community quiz, unfortunately we didn't win here at Southbourne Beach Care Home - Avery Collection but a big well done to Westbourne. We look forward to coming over to you next time 😀

Another beautiful ride out in the minibus this afternoon with our Beachside community to one of our happy places at Wooton Bridge in the New Forest. Unfortunately the ground was still to wet and muddy for us to have a walk about but we will definitely be back here in the spring/summer for one of our lovely picnics 😍
