Pokesdown and Southbourne Children's Centre Managed by YMCA Bournemouth We are a new centre and continually looking to develop our services. Plus much more.

Welcome to Pokesdown and Southbourne Children's Centre, a centre for children and families in the Southbourne, Littledown, Iford and Tuckton areas. We have a range of activities within the centre and work with groups and services within the community to ensure we meet the needs of local families and children. We hold regular parent forums which enable parents to have a say in our current and future activities. If you are a parent of a child under the age of five and would like to participate in a forum, or have any ideas about what you would like to see happening in the centre, please contact us. Regular sessions that will be held include:

Under One's Group
Well Baby Health Clinic
Come Talk with Me
Ready Steady Go! Experienced staff are on hand to deal with any queries. We can provide information, help and advice for parents and carers with regards to a range of subjects, including: family learning, childcare, housing issues and special needs support services. Please feel free to just drop-in to the centre or simply contact us directly to talk about one of our sessions. Alternatively a local professional such as your Health Visitor can advise or refer you.

We want to provide the best help and support for children, young people and their families across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

We are redesigning our family hub and early help services to focus on what local families need, so we can be more effective with our resource.
