We are an independent family Funeral Directors based in Bournemouth serving BCP & The BH Postcode We are here to help you in every possible way.

Established in 1926 Head & Wheble is a family owned and run business, we are able to offer a truly personal and professional service for the people of Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and surrounding areas. We have three chapels of rest and are based in Central Bournemouth 0.9m from the registrars in the town hall, we are the most conveniently located funeral director for families wishing to discuss funeral arrangements after registration. Our service is provided by Simon Head DipFD MBIFD and Bob Bowater MBIE DipFD, dedicated funeral directors with a wealth of knowledge and experience, gained over many years of serving bereaved families and achieving the recognised qualifications and professional memberships within the funeral profession. This knowledge and experience has been passed onto their dedicated staff to ensure that from the moment of your first contact with us and throughout the whole process of arranging a funeral you can be assured of receiving an excellent service every step of the way. We appreciate how difficult it is to cope with emotions when in a time of need. We are committed to providing a caring and courteous service that is approachable and responsive to your every requirement and concern. By listening to you we will respectfully guide you, ensuring that the final act of saying goodbye is arranged in the way that reflects you and your loved one. We are proud to be a full member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and adhere to their Code of Practice in all areas of our work. The NAFD symbol has long been adopted as a kite mark – a guarantee of high quality professional care for the bereaved. The NAFD Diploma in funeral directing is recognised as the gold standard throughout the profession. As an independent firm, we are also members of The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).
