It’s been a lively and heartwarming few days at Inglewood Nursing Home! We were thrilled to welcome back our old friends from Pet Pals, who brought along some adorable rabbits and chickens for the residents to meet. 🐇🐓
There were plenty of smiles and gentle cuddles as residents enjoyed petting the animals, feeding them, and chatting with the lovely Pet Pals team. The joy and calm the animals brought to everyone was truly special. ❤️ The next day we kept the fun rolling with a cheerful game of indoor skittles. Residents showed off their bowling skills and cheered each other on — a little friendly competition and lots of laughter all around. 🎳😄Thank you to everyone who've made our recent activities so memorable! 💚

There can't be many people who will say no to a chocolate croissant. Our residents certainly don't, and we decided to push the bateau out and experiment with making our own! So armed with all the ingredients (and lots and lots of chocolate!), our residents rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into making some of the delicious flaky and gooey treats as part of our French themed day! The kitchen was filled with smiles and the sweet smell of fresh pastry. Everyone had not one but two croissants each and the verdict all round was 'très bon' and 'delicieux'! 😋 A simple pleasure, perfectly baked. Bon appétit, tout le monde! 💙🤍❤️

It’s been a jam-packed week of activities here at Hampton, especially on Rosemary where the laughter and energy have been non-stop!
Residents joined us for a lively parachute game, flapping the parachute to bounce balloons and balls from side to side – with everyone getting involved in tapping them as they flew by. It was heartwarming to see even those who don’t always take part lighting up with smiles and joining in! 🏐🎈 We also brought out the beanbags for a little target practice – many of our residents were spot-on getting them into the inflatable ring! 🎯👏
Everyone loves a sing-a-long and a classic sixties playlist provided the perfect soundtrack to the next afternoon, creating a joyful atmosphere that turned into a full-blown sing-song! There was dancing, clapping and plenty of reminiscing about favourite songs. Our lively resident Bridget spent most of the afternoon up on her feet, dancing with friends and spreading cheer. 💃❤️ As always, our sing-a-long was a huge hit, and it was a truly special afternoon enjoyed by all!

A couple of days ago we fired up the grill for a fantastic BBQ which was enjoyed by all our residents! Some relaxed under the gazebo in the garden, soaking up the sunshine while tucking into juicy burgers, sizzling sausages, chicken kebabs and more – all cooked to perfection by our talented chefs. 🍔🌭🍗
There was also plenty of cheerful conversation, with residents reminiscing about past BBQs and some even saying that this one topped last year’s! 😄
To round off the meal, we served up refreshing ice cream – the perfect dessert for a warm summer’s day. 🍦☀️ What a lovely afternoon – filled with great food, sunshine and even better company! 😍

The smell of banana bread and the sound of laughter filled Hampton Care Home as residents came together for a cosy baking session recently. Everyone got involved — from adding ingredients to giving the mixture a good stir — with plenty of chatter, music and cups of tea while the bread baked in the oven.
A special moment came when our lovely resident Margaret was greeted on her way to the baking session by a beautifully groomed poodle, who gave her the biggest smile — a heartwarming start to the day! 🐩💕
Our resident Sandra took charge of mixing the wet ingredients, and soon the kitchen was filled with the delicious aroma of freshly baked banana bread. Once it had cooled, we shared it around for all to enjoy with our afternoon cuppa, and it's no surprise that it disappeared in no time! 😋

What a wild and wonderful day we had at Mayflower Care Home recently, thanks to a special visit from our very good friends, Exotic Explorers! Residents and staff were thrilled to meet a colourful parrot (who definitely made himself heard! 😄), a curious leopard gecko, adorable hedgehogs, playful ferrets and even a cuddly white skunk!

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and gentle strokes as everyone got up close and personal with these fascinating creatures. Naturally, the parrot stole the spotlight with his random chatter, but the skunk melted hearts with his surprisingly snuggly nature. 🥰 A huge thank you to Exotic Explorers for bringing so much joy and wonder to our home!

Here at Inglewood Nursing Home our residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative with a cupcake decorating session recently. From colourful sprinkles to swirls of icing, each cupcake was a little masterpiece – and just as delicious as they looked! After all the fun and laughter, the beautifully decorated treats were enjoyed with a well-deserved cup of tea. What a perfect combination of creativity, conversation and cake! ☕💕

🌿🚶‍♀️ A Lovely Local Stroll for Our Hampton Residents 🚶‍♂️🌿
Today was all about fresh air, friendly chatter, and a change of scenery as some of our Hampton Care Home residents enjoyed a walk around the local area – and even a little trip through Waitrose! 🛒🌼
Along the way, we took in the sights of beautiful houses, colourful plants, and local wildlife, sparking so many wonderful conversations. It was lovely to hear our residents sharing stories about their lives before Hampton – from family homes to favourite flowers and fond memories of shopping trips gone by. 🏡🦋🌸
Getting out into the community, even for a short stroll, brings a real sense of connection. We’re already planning our next outing! 💬😊

🎸🎤 The King Came to Barty House! 🎤🎸

What a fantastic afternoon we had yesterday as the wonderful Scott Elvis brought the magic of Elvis Presley to life right here at Barty House! 💫
Our residents were completely wowed by his incredible tribute act – the voice, the moves, the charm… it was like The King himself had walked into the room! 👑✨
What made it even more special was how Scott went up to our residents, singing directly to them and making each person feel like a star. 🌟 The smiles, the clapping, the joy – it was truly unforgettable.

Thank you, Scott, for bringing the house down with your talent and warmth. We're already counting down the days until your return! 🎶💙
