After losing a life-changing 11st 7lbs (73kg), Ray, a primary school teacher from Wellingborough, has been crowned one of our Slimming World Icons for 2026 🤩!

After being called ‘Big Ray’ through school, getting breathless on the stairs and avoiding the staff room at work, Ray is now running 10ks, playing football with his pupils and stepping into his 40s with a confidence he’d never dreamt of 👏.

Today marks my one year anniversary as a Slimming World consultant, and what a year it’s been. I’ve had the absolute privilege of supporting some incredible members, watching confidence grow, habits change, and lives truly transform. The weight losses, the non-scale victories, the health improvements, and the smiles say it all. I genuinely love what I do, and I’m so grateful to be part of each journey, no matter how big or small the steps. My only regret is not knowing how many certificates I’ve handed out over the year, because every single one represents hard work, determination, and a life-changing achievement, and I couldn’t be prouder ❤️
