We offer flexible daytime and evening and weekend appointment to suit your busy lifestyle and you can usually have MRI scans and X-rays on the same day as your appointment. Mr Pavlou will go through these with you in detail so you understand exactly what the problem is. Many common knee conditions can be treated without surgery so we work closely with first class local physiotherapists. Monday mornings, knee surgeon edition

I loved watching the Gypsy Kings live last night…it got me wondering….did the many hours of practicing classical guitar help my surgical skills…at the start of a surgical career the evidence does suggest it does help surgeons to get started.
But ultimately…perfect practice makes perfect…and that means that many years of repetition and refinement of surgical skills and decision making is what matters….BUT….both music and sport are linked to lower rate of burnout in surgeons..so you can keep helping patients for longer with less risk to yourself. Happy Sunday & a big shout out to all the incredible women out there too😊

How long will I have to be in hospital after a knee replacement? For most of my patients only one night. It’s team effort with refinements that have been developed and tested over time to allow safe early discharge and improved outcomes. 🤩
