What a difference a year makes! My girls and I started the year in our new home and we all had a big year ahead of us. Poppy & Violet navigated GCSE’s & A’levels and it was a tough time for everyone. I was finally in a position by the summer to give up my other part time job to teach full time, it was not an easy transition.
I have been teaching Pilates for over 18 years, after 10 years I left my business in north London where my babies were born and had to start again here in Bournemouth; At that time my health and my confidence took a knock but I pushed through and the Pilates Shed was born, my little garden 121 reformer studio. Then Covid hit! We went on line and eventually we were back in the studio and I was back for my community Mat classes. When we moved at the end of 2024 I also had to say goodbye to my garden studio. It was not easy and this time last year I wondered how I was going to make it work in what is now my garden conservatory studio! Somehow time passed and I got back into my teaching routine once again.
After moving here 8 years ago it looked like the group reformer craze had finally arrived! I was lucky enough to start teaching last February at West Hants brand new reformer studio! And by early summer .du.pilates launched its gorgeous boutique studio where I am so lucky to have met my Maison family! (Also I have learnt a few things about social media since then!) And now at the gorgeous in Christchurch. in September Poppy left for university and I can honestly say that the feeling of her leaving was such a heavy feeling for the whole year leading up! We joke she’s the default mum! She has been a constant presence in her sister’s lives. I am so proud of her, it has been a tough few years but I am proud to say we have raised a beautiful adult! 🩷
Finding the positives and feeling gratitude for everything in my life, my three little 🌺 🌺 🌺 , the love and support of my family and friends and feeling incredibly lucky to be doing what I love every day! And a big thank you to all my clients over the years that have kept me going! 💕Happy new year! Maison Du Pilates
