Pilates is a method, where repetition builds strength and stamina, improves flexibility and mobility with a strong focus on breath work and connection to your power house(as Joe Pilates called it!) or the core as it’s known today. I like to call it the centre, the connection to where the breath leads the movement. It’s about learning to switch the muscles on and off! Learning where you are in space, building proprioception and coordination. As you develop it can be dynamic but at the beginning It can feel slow and measured but try not to rush, trust the process. Consistency is key and you will see the results. Its a full body workout where you move in all directions, it’s not legs day or abs day, It’s everything day! It’s my love, my absolute passion! 💕
