Having qualified as a Yoga Teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga Deborah teaches in various locations in and around the Poole and Southampton area. Deborah does not adhere to one kind of yoga but takes her inspiration from many schools and teachers that she says she has had the privilege of working with. Currently she is particularly inspired by the teachings of Erich Schiffmann and Donna Farhi w

ho she believes both really understand and can translate the essence of what yoga is. Deborah aims to combine the ancient tradition of yoga with its many benefits with modern contemporary living. New class start ups, one to one coaching and yoga to compliment specialist sports are all available.

What I am reading..... Having originally trained under a Sacaravelli teacher it is good to go back and revisit the philosophy that still underpins my teaching. Scaravelli focuses on the fluidity of the spine and all else stems from there. Not an instruction 'how to do' book, more for background reading and a deeper understanding of her approach to the art and practice of this brilliant practice call Yoga. 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️

The Inner Teacher

A certain day became a presence to me:
there it was, confronting me - a sky, air, light:
a being. And before it started to descend
from the height of noon, it leaned over
and struck my shoulder as if with
the flat of a sword, granting me
honour and a task. The day's blow
