Southbourne Tennis Club Very friendly inclusive club for ages 3 to 93. Social and team tennis. Wheelchair, physically impaired and learning disability tennis. Come and try for free.

We aim to provide social and competitive tennis for people of all ages and abilities in a friendly, enjoyable environment. We are a well-established and progressive club with around 300 adult, junior and mini-tennis members. We have an extensive activity and coaching programmes catering for everyone from complete beginners to county players, from young to old. We have a great inclusive programme for people with disabilities and impairments. Members' involvement in the club's development actively encouraged by the management committee. No two players are the same especially in disability and neurodivergent coaching.

Every athlete brings their own strengths, challenges, communication style, and way of experiencing the game. What motivates one player might overwhelm another. Great coaching isn’t about changing who they are it’s about adapting, understanding, and unlocking potential.

Inclusion isn’t lowering expectations. It’s individualising the pathway so every player can thrive.
