Introducing Groove to Improve, our New Community Dance Programme
We’re excited to introduce “Groove to Improve”, a new dance and movement programme for older adults living with persistent low back pain. This is a collaboration between HSU and Pavilion Dance South West, supported by Wessex Health Partners.
Join our weekly sessions on Tuesdays at 10:45am (term-time) focusing on:
💃 Creative dance & movement
🧍 Improving mobility & confidence
✨ Easing pain & reducing disability
Sessions take place at Pavilion Dance South West in Bournemouth and run on a “pay what you can” basis, making it more accessible.
Dr Neil Langridge, HSU’s Director of Clinical & Rehabilitation Services, says:
“Groove to Improve is a fantastic community musculoskeletal health programme for older people struggling with low back pain. I am delighted to see HSU’s collaboration with Pavilion Dance now live, offering our community the opportunity to try something different in managing their pain and disability.”
Move, dance and feel better with us!
