Pancake Day is approaching so I thought I would share my healthy pancake recipe that I eat at least twice a week 😋 This is a recipe I often give to clients and is a firm favourite, let me know if you give it a go 💕

Serves 1
🌟 100g cottage cheese
🌟 1 large egg
🌟 2 tbsp plain flour
🌟 1 tsp baking powder
🌟 Berries to serve

Simply whisk together the cottage cheese and egg (a few curdles are fine). Add in the flour and baking powder and stir to combine. Heat some butter/oil in a pan and spoon in your mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side at medium heat. Serve with your favourite berries.

Save this recipe and share with someone who might enjoy these 🩷

I thought it was time for a little re-introduction, as I haven’t posted in a while.

I’m Brooke - a Registered Nutritionist. I came into nutrition through my own hormonal struggles back in 2019, which is where my passion for women’s health began.

Nutrition has become my life (with a bit of country music along the way…!), and I genuinely feel so grateful that I get to sit with my clients and talk about their health every day. Im grateful that my job doesn’t feel like “work” to me.

For me, health is everything - when we feel well in our bodies, life just feels easier.

My work is rooted in evidence-based practice, but always delivered in a realistic, empathetic and practical way. I care just as much about how you feel as I do about what you eat. Your energy, digestion, stress and mindset all matter equally.

My DM’s are always open if you want to chat 🩷

Don’t listen to healthcare bullies 💥

This has been a really common theme with my clients the last 2 weeks in clinic. People feeling pressured or confused after getting strong opinions from others.

Whether it’s from a practitioner, social media, or just “helpful” people in their lives offering advice…

But, I always come back to the same thing: you know your body best.

If something doesn’t feel right for you, you don’t have to do it. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for how you choose to
care for yourself.

Protect your peace.
Trust your intuition.

This is something I feel VERY passionate about. Stop letting other people make you doubt what feels right for your body 🩷

Top 3 reasons you’re not losing weight (that have nothing to do with willpower):

1️⃣ Blood sugar imbalances
2️⃣ Undereating
3️⃣ Food Intolerances (this is one thing that makes a huge difference for my clients in clinic)

It’s not always about eating less - it’s about helping your body feel safe, nourished, and balanced. When your hormones, gut, and metabolism are supported - fat loss becomes easier.

If you ever suffer with constipation, read this 👇 recent studies challenge alot of what we’ve been told.

🩺 Researchers at King’s College London have published the first ever evidence-based dietary guidelines for adults with chronic constipation for practitioners.

Their findings?
💊 Some common stool softeners show little benefit in studies.
🥝 A food-first approach works best (but not just a general ‘high fibre diet’) with the evidence supporting kiwi, rye bread, magnesium-rich mineral water, and certain probiotic strains!

It’s so good to see research aligning with what many of us in clinic have seen in practice for years: the gut responds best to nourishment, not quick fixes. Follow along for more nutrition support 🩷

4 months of debilitating cramps, nausea, bloating and pain…and no answers.

🌟 This was my latest google review and I am thrilled for my client! This hasn’t been an easy journey but one that has been SO worth it. This client came to me at the end of her tether - constant bloating, fatigue, gut pain and nothing was working.

Through a detailed history taking session, I came up with a 3 month personalised plan for my client (which she stuck to like a champion). No more stomach pain, no more rushing to the bathroom and 2 stone lighter. I also want to say I also noticed a huge improvement in her mental health throughout this journey too 🧠

You don’t have to live with daily bloating or gut pain. Small but consistent changes can completely transform your feel - when they’re the right ones for your body.

If you can relate to any of this, I would love to work with you. I offer free 20 minute discovery calls. Book in with me via the link in my bio or send me a DM 🩷

When I came off the pill, no one warned me what would happen next…

6 months later, my skin and hormones were ALL over the place. I tried every product and supplement I could find but nothing worked.

What finally did? Understanding my body.
Nutrition was the foundation, and functional testing helped me finally see why my skin was stuck. It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t quick. But it was worth it.

If you’re struggling with post-pill acne or hormone imbalances, you’re not alone 🩷

When health feels overwhelming, it’s rarely the complicated strategies that get you back on track it’s often the fundamentals that we all know how to do but sometimes don’t!

For me, that’s:
1️⃣ Drinking 1.5L water daily
2️⃣ Eating a protein-rich, balanced breakfast within 90 minutes of waking
3️⃣ Taking key supplements consistently

Simple, yes. But incredibly effective. I often find people are looking for a magic bullet or a special pill to solve all their problems but the reality is that it is often the basics we need to be consistent with. These small shifts provide the foundations you need to build on with more advanced changes later.

Let me know in the comments, what’s one thing you have gotten out of the habit of doing recently but makes a huge difference to how well you feel?

The sunshine is here ☀️ but so is Hayfever season! If you are already sneezing, sniffling, feeling groggy and scratching your eyeballs out…you are not alone!

As a nutritionist, I am always looking for natural remedies to common conditions and symptoms! These are just a few of the ones that have worked for me…more coming in part 2 later this week!

🥦 Quercetin - a natural antihistamine found in onions and apples (or as a supplement)
🌱 Stinging Nettle - shown in studies to be as effective as OTC medicines
🦠 Probiotics - support immune regulation via the gut
🍍Bromelain - an enzyme that eases nasal swelling
🥥 Coconut Oil - great for soothing irritated sinuses naturally and protecting pollen entry points!

These are simple, gentle ways to help your body without drowsy side effects.

💭 Have you tried any of these? Which one surprised you most?
