“I have suffered from anxiety and low self-esteem since childhood and tried many ‘remedies’ to try to balance the never-ending uncertainties that I feel. Joy has helped me immensely to overcome this, alleviating my concerns by making me understand the yin and yang of life, the dark and bright, complimenting each other during life’s challenges. She has helped me to have the confidence to achieve and speak up and provided me with and advised me on techniques which will have a profound lifelong effect on my emotional well-being.”

If you suffer from chronic pain, you may not want to rely wholly on medication long term.

Deep breathing and meditation are techniques that can help both your mind and body relax, which in turn may ease the pain you’re feeling. The muscles receive these messages from the brain to help them relax.

The exact cause of IBS is unknown, but most experts think that it’s related to increased sensitivity of the gut and problems digesting food. You may have experienced issues over the Christmas & New Year period with a change in diet.

These problems may mean that you are more sensitive to pain coming from your gut, and you may become constipated or have diarrhoea because your food passes through your gut either too slowly or too quickly.

Psychological factors such as stress may also play a part in IBS.

Hypnotherapy has proved to really beneficial in helping to cope with the pain.
