Half-term family activity in Talbot Village Woods on Tuesday morning. Join us for a hands-on workshop where we build BIRD FEEDER from natural materials to take home — perfect for inviting tiny feathered friends to come and visit.

At the end we will gather together at the fire pit and eat a treat, cooked on the fire.

A fun, engaging session for young nature-lovers and their grown-ups!

Women in the Woods - Celebrate the Full Moon by the fire

On Wednesday, 4th Feb we will gather again around the fire in Talbot Woods. We are going to tune into the energy of the Snow Moon but also Imbolc. Both events have been on the same day on Sunday - how amazing is that!

What to Expect:

The Full Moon was a bit shy at times but she joined into the wonderful display of clouds and stars, bright and dark sky...

Last Sunday Karin and Martha from Talbot Village Trust invited local wellbeing and creative practitioners together around the fire, in the woods. Everyone was invited to share their work and to contribute to our soup cooking over the fire 🔥

What a beautiful afternoon. Lots of warmth, sparks and connecting around our passions. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to our delicious soup! 🥕🥦🧅🌿

And here is The Stone Soup story 🍲

Hungry travellers arrive in a village where the people there turn their backs on them. So, they begin to make “stone soup” with nothing but a pot of water and a smooth pebble.

Curious and slowly won over, the villagers each add a little something of their own, and together they create a delicious feast, discovering that generosity makes everyone richer ❤️

Some photos from our Lantern Magic workshop last Saturday 🏮

Inspired by the story of St Martin, we made lanterns to celebrate warmth and kindness, we took a walk through the woods with our lanterns and then gathered around the fire for popcorn!

We love spending time in the woods and being able to share it with those that came felt very special 💚

Thank you to the children and their grown ups for all the creatively and energy 🍁

WILDLINGS Lantern magic - lantern making and a lantern walk in Talbot Village Woods.

We will make our own woodland lanterns, bright and beautiful, and go for a lantern walk in the dimming light. Our lanterns will light our way and glow like little stars amongst the trees.

Afterwards we will gather around the fire for storytelling and a nice treat cooked on the fire.

The woods take their final sigh as we slowly journey into winter, but they're still alive with colour, creatures, fruit and fungi 🍂🍄

We had a wonderful time at the Slades Christmas Food and Craft Fair today ✨

Lots of families joined us to make Christmas trees from evergreens.

We loved the smell of the conifers filling the room as well as all the beautiful trees the children made! 🎄
