Once again, many thanks to all my clients and friends who have kindly donated clothing and bric-a-brac to sell on Ebay. The amount raised for the year to 31 March 2022 for Home and Homes for Children is £115.

REOPEN, REJUVENATE AND RELAX!

Following Boris Johnson's announcement last Monday, we can once again officially resume all therapy treatments from Monday 12th April.

Please telephone, text, WhatsApp or email to make an appointment when you feel comfortable to return.

Following Government guidelines, the AoR's COVID-19 Secure Workplace Policy will be followed at all times including mobile home visits which are also allowed to be resumed.

We will still be required to complete a risk assessment before each treatment. Treatment is not recommended within 3 days of a COVID vaccination.

Face coverings are mandatory for clients and should only be removed if it is essential for a particular treatment ie facials. Some people do not have to wear a face covering including for health, age or equality reasons.

Lateral Flow Test Kits - the Government has announced that twice weekly rapid testing will be available to everyone in England from 9 April. These can be ordered online and the test kits can be delivered to your home - https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests or you can collect the kits from selected pharmacies, PCR test sites and some community testing centres. Lateral flow tests are not completely accurate but I do recommend their twice weekly use as I will be.

Thank you to all my lovely friends, family and clients who have kindly donated clothing and bric-a-brac over the past 12 months which has subsequently been sold on in aid of Cats Protection. We have raised £200 cash (which was sent to Cats Protection on 3 April) and we are still sponsoring a pen at the Ferndown Housing Centre until the end of this year 😽😸. So this takes the total to well over £300.

Reopening Update!

It has been a while since I have seen many of my lovely clients and I'd like to thank you for your continued kindness and support during this third temporary closure.

I am pleased to say that following the Government's recent announcement, Reflexologists fall into Step 2 of the roadmap with a proposed opening date of no earlier than Monday 12 April.

As it takes 4 weeks to see the effect that each step will have on the number of Covid-19 cases and hospital admissions, plus 1 week for giving people warning of the next step there will be at least a 5 week gap between each step. The indicative ‘no earlier than’ dates in the roadmap are all contingent on the data and are subject to change depending on 4 tests:

1. The vaccine deployment programme continuing successfully
2. Evidence that the vaccine is effective in reducing hospitalisation and deaths
3. Infection rates do not risk a surge of hospitalisations
4. Assessment of the changes in risks due to new Variants

Step 1 begins on the 8th March with the opening of schools and the ability for 2 people to meet for a chat outdoors with additional easing of some restrictions on the 29th March. Personal care (which includes reflexology, Indian Head massage, etc) will be able to return in Step 2 which will be no earlier than 12th April.

All being well I can resume my therapies from that date and I am now taking bookings.

Following the Government’s announcement of a third National Lockdown on 5 January in our continued efforts to fight the spread of Covid-19, it is with regret that I am unable to provide my therapies until further notice.

I would like to thank you for the support you have shown me during this challenging time.

As soon as we are out of lockdown and are in Tiers 1, 2 or 3, I will be able to offer my therapies again.
