After a few weeks at Mandala Yoga Ashram finding space inside and out, it’s time to return to yoga classes! This block we will be focusing on developing and exploring our sense of awareness. Classes are back on next week, 20th & 23rd May, then commencing for the summer block 4th & 6th June. Looking forward to sharing with you.

You find resistance in the "shoulds," and in the shame you feel about wherever it is that you are.
In the guilt you feel about stepping toward what actually feels right for you.

You find it in the tension you hold in your body, in feeling small, and in the resentment you have toward others doing the thing you wish you could.

These are some of the clues that lead us to the place where we're feeling stuck.
To the place we need to soften and meet with acceptance.
Where we need to examine and question a story.

When you accept where you are,
when you can feel whatever it is you need to feel,
then you can start approaching the existing story with curiosity & begin to shift the tension.
You can feel the feelings, and....then space opens up.
And you free yourself up to move forward.

But to do this you have to begin to develop a relationship with yourself.
To soften your judgment.
To develop a different pattern.
To become more skilled at noticing what’s happening within you.
At any moment you can begin this practice.

There is one space left on the upcoming April yoga workshop. Come and enjoy an afternoon of yoga practices including meditation and relaxation. I will provide resources to practice at home (this is not complulsory!) whilst I am on retreat until the end of May. Just a reminder that there is a workshop on Saturday afternoon 12th April. There are still some spaces. We will focus on yoga which could be practiced at home - morning and evening practices (energising and grounding), alternate nostril breathing and a meditation. We will also practice a long yoga Nidra relaxation. I can record the meditation and relaxation practices and share them with you as well as diagrams of the physical practices. Of course, you can come along and simply enjoy the afternoon without worrying about a home practice!

Our next Menpause Yoga session is on Saturday 11th Jan. This time we will focus on the symptoms of anxiety, overwhelm and insomnia. As ever, the morning consists of time to share experiences, calming and flowing physical yoga practice, a breathing practice which elongates the outbreath, relaxation, meditation & the making of aromatherapy gifts for ourselves to take home.
