⚠️ Universal Credits and your dental treatment- please note the below information is from NHS practitioner services ⚠️

‼️Dental treatment if you get Universal Credit

If you get Universal Credit (UC), you'll get free dental treatment if your income is below certain limits.

You must get UC as a single person or a member of a couple.

During your most recent assessment period your earnings, or combined earnings with your partner, must have been:

£435 or less

£935 or less - if your UC includes a child element or if you have limited capability for work (LCW) / limited capability for work related activity (LCWRA).

Your earnings do not include the amount you get from Universal Credit - they're what you earn from work.

Your assessment period is one calendar month, it starts on the day of the month you first made a claim for Universal Credit. Each month after that, your assessment period will usually start on the same day of the month. For example, if you made a claim on 18th May, your assessment period will always start on the 18th and end on the 17th of the next month. Check your award notice for the date of your original claim.

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW YOUR UNIVERSAL CREDIT AWARD STATEMENT AS PROOF.

You can apply for a refund if you had to pay for dental treatment while your entitlement was being checked, as long as you’re entitled to free dental treatment on UC.
