Gorgeous people, and gorgeous views from the lakeside. Not a bad afternoon at all.

We’re putting this information out again, because we know that some people will think it doesn’t apply to them.

Spectators are not allowed at checkpoints, unless otherwise specified. This doesn’t just mean that they can’t go to the physical checkpoint, it also means they must not drive to that area at all.

It’s not ok to drive your vehicle to kentmere, Mardale, Tilberthwaite and other locations, because you’re planning on parking your car, then heading out onto the fell to spectate. The local residents do not need or want the excess traffic and we will DQ participants if friends or family show up at locations where they are not permitted.

There are other points where you are able to spectate, but please, if it’s late, be quiet and show respect to both local residents and others who may be staying in the area.

Hazel and Jim are out of clinic for a few days, a mini break to celebrate Hazel finishing her Physio degree. We leave you in the capable hands of Claire Wilson who is available for treatments in our absence.

Lovely review for

"Hazel saved my holiday! I was struggling with a flare up a couple of days into our break in Windermere. I was ready to head home early when Mountain Massage were able to fit me in at a day’s notice.

The clinic is lovely and bright and welcoming - conveniently in the centre of Bowness. Hazel used her skills and knowledge as both a remedial massage therapist and Myofascial release therapist to ease my pain and tension almost instantly and I left feeling 200% better than when I walked in the door.

Would not hesitate to recommend Hazel and will certainly be booking into Mountain Massage again ahead of my next trip to the Lake District."

Hazel will be on placement for the next few weeks but will still be available on Mondays and Fridays.

We're delighted to welcome Physiotherapist Verity to our Bowness clinic.

Verity started working in London as an exercise and conditioning specialist after graduating from Birmingham University with a Sport and Exercise science degree.

She qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2004 and has worked primarily in a busy and large NHS musculoskeletal department since.
Verity treats a wide range of conditions with a specialism in ultra endurance sports (cycling and running), back pain, lower limb pain (hip, knee, ankle, foot).

Consultation and treatments typically include assessment of load management for endurance sports, exercise therapy, acupuncture, dry needling and soft tissue techniques.

You will find Verity out either on two wheels, both on and off road, or walking and running with her dogs. Verity is a committee member of Kendal Cycle Club.
