​We are so incredibly proud of our residents’ commitment to our weekly movement and exercise classes. We have a whole bunch of fun, but this class was extra special!
​We welcomed Jean to the class for the very first time. She pulled us aside to ask if anyone in the room was older than her... then revealed she’s 98 years young! 🤯🙌
​Jean, you are an absolute inspiration and a
reminder that it’s never too late to start a new routine. Welcome to the crew!

​It’s about more than just staying active—it’s about the joy of the challenge. Our residents tell us they love the mix of cognitive and physical exercises, and they truly embrace the variety each new week brings. 🧠💪

Blooming Beautiful Mother’s Day at Brackley Care Home! 🌸
​We had a wonderful day celebrating all the incredible women in our community. Our Maypole Cafe was transformed into a spring wonderland, complete with cheerful daffodils and a spread of treats that looked almost too good to eat!
​A huge shoutout to our talented Chef, who whipped up delicious pink heart shortcake biscuits—a hit with both our residents and our hardworking staff. It was a smashing day filled with smiles, stories, and plenty of cake. 🍰✨

Keep Brackley Beautiful! 🌸🧹
​Our residents were out in force this week for The Great British Spring Clean (13 - 29 March)! As part of the nation’s biggest environmental campaign, we joined over 400,000 volunteers across the UK to help tidy up our local spaces.
​Dressed in our iconic purple Womble vests and armed with litter pickers, we managed to collect four full bags of rubbish from our immediate area. Our residents love where they live and feel this is the very least they can do to keep our town looking its best.
​A huge thank you to Conrad from the Brackley Litter Wombles for the support and equipment 💜

Our twice-monthly Memory Café had some very special visitors ! 🐾 We spent a wonderful afternoon with Lucia and her incredible tiny farm of animals.
​From the softest ears to the gentlest nudges, it was an afternoon of pure bliss. We had the privilege of meeting the whole gang: Chocolate, Coco, Maggie, Sox, Millie, Chip, Biscuit, and Peppa. While our guests enjoyed plenty of cuddles and strokes, it’s safe to say the animals had a "right royal pamper" too—many of these bundles of fur settled right into laps for a snooze! There is truly something magical about the connection between people and animals.

🌿 Fresh Air & Green Thumbs at Buckingham Garden Centre! ⚘️🪻🌷🌼
​We had a fantastic trip out today! Joe and Richard enjoyed a good look around before picking out some treats for their rooms—Joe opted for bulbs and cucumber seeds for his tubs, while Richard chose a new plant and a cactus. 🌵
​We were also joined by Neil, who found some seed potatoes for his allotment. 🥔
​To top it off, the group warmed up with coffees and a lovely chat. Linda summed it up perfectly:
​"I've had a lovely time... I am glad I had a blanket for my knees!"
​A successful, cozy day out for everyone! ☕✨

Luck was in the air at Maypole Café ☘️
Our residents got creative for St. Patrick’s Day with a colourful arts and crafts session. From glittery shamrocks to pots of gold, no two designs were the same!
​Highlights included:
​Sheila’s unique "wisteria-style" rainbow.
​John’s lively scene featuring people under the arches.
​Joyce joining in the fun and truly embracing the creative spirit.
​Our lounge windows are now glowing with their beautiful work! ✨

All smiles and shamrocks at the Delia Lounge! ☘️
​We had a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day celebration this afternoon, filled with "craic" and plenty of sunshine. Residents gathered for a Guinness-themed quiz—or as Richard jokingly called it, an alcohol-free “booze up!”
​The lounge was glowing, thanks to the handmade shamrocks and rainbows created by our residents in our recent art sessions. We even had a mischievous leprechaun join the party! 🌈✨
​The highlights:
​The Treats: Our chef outdid themselves with green frosted cupcakes and rainbow sprinkles. 🧁
​The Laughs: We raided the prop box for novelty headbands and St. Paddy’s gear for a DIY photoshoot.
​The Verdict: While the quiz was a hit, Rosemary admitted she still isn't quite convinced by the taste of Guinness! 🍺
​It was a truly sunny, cheerful afternoon full of good humour and Irish spirit. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all! 🇮🇪

Lights, Camera, Community! 🍿✨
​We were absolutely thrilled to host the Northants Carer Support Group for their monthly Cinema Morning !! The room was buzzing as everyone enjoyed a screening of the spectacular Rocketman. 🚀🎹
​Our mornings are all about relaxation and good company:
​10:30 AM: Tea, coffee, and plenty of cake. 🍰☕
​11:00 AM: Lights down, movie on!
​Plus: Refreshments served right to your seat throughout the film.
​Save the date! Our next Cinema Morning is Tuesday, April 7th. We’ll be showing the charming The Hundred-Foot Journey, starring the wonderful Helen Mirren. 🇫🇷🥘
