Yesterday I promised you a great deal…

Something really genuinely beneficial…

Something that I’ve not seen anyone else doing…

I could offer you a free drinks bottle (with MY name on it)...

A T-shirt (everyone loves a free T-shirt, after all, right?)...

Or 10% off…

But I’d like to keep it real…

I don’t want to give you a bunch of stupid s**t you don’t need…

Given the current climate, I actually want to put money BACK in your pocket…

I will pay for your gym membership for however long you are part of my programme…

And if you don’t currently belong to a gym, but you’d like to…

I’ll cover that too.

I know, it’s a bold gesture…

But I wanted to give you something that’s actually useful…

And going to help you progress in your fitness journey…

Does that sound fair?

Remember this morning I told you I was launching a bloody fab offer?

Well, I’m a coach of my word…

When I first came up with this offer, I was worried about publicising it…

Worried that I’d be out of pocket, if I’m completely honest.

But the truth is I genuinely care about the fitness of my clients…

So I decided to put it out there…

I mean, what’s the worst that can happen?

(Financial ruin? 😳)

Remember all those memes of The Tiger King?

“I may never financially recover from this”

Ah well, I’ve promised now… I’ll give you the details tomorrow…

Keep an eye open. Even turn on your notifications.

It’s a good ‘un.

How it started… How it’s going…

This is one of THOSE posts.

Where I kidnap you all…

Throw you in the back of my time machine…

And show you the story of where I’ve come from over the last couple of years.

This isn’t a snapshot of my coaching business, but my personal life

What’s made me so reminiscent?

Well, because it was Kais’ 2nd birthday yesterday... Where have those 2 years gone??

So I thought what better way to mark it by sharing a few notes this week on how far we’ve come.

Swipe across these photos.

The first if from when it was just the two of us, Ellie and I.

Navigating life together, without the worries of how to raise a child.

When life was somewhat easier, but I wouldn't go back

And the rest are from the journey over the last 2 years of raising our son...

As we try to raise a child, that's respectful, takes risks, is free from stress and anxiety, is happy and content, without worry or fear of anything and whilst enjoying life

And whilst Ellie and I enjoy and cherish every moment of parenthood and helping Kai experience it all

The lesson:

We are very fortunate, but this isn’t Iuck, it’s hard work. Effort is the only currency and that's something I teach inside my coaching programme COMMIT N CONQUER.

Put Yourself First!!!

Does it ever feel like you're being too nice?

That everyone else's issues come before your own?

Of course, if you have kids, they come first.

But it's not just the kids. It's everyone else too.

Your other half, friends and even your boss at work.

You don't mind, but you know if you want to reach goals of losing stones & retrieving your confidence...

You have to put yourself first sometimes.

Almost become a little more selfish.

Of course, that will be hard because it's not how you usually operate.

But what if you put yourself first and you reach the result you want?

How good would it feel?

How happy would you be to get the results you've always wanted?

Let me tell you: EPIC.

I’ve helped 100’s of clients with trouble losing weight in the last 10 years

And I can tell you with no uncertainty: it would positively impact you and everyone else around you.

We've had clients who stopped putting themselves last and got fantastic results.

Relationships with family improved because they were happier.

Not only that, work improved too because they had more confidence in themselves, some even got promotions.

…doesn’t sound so selfish now, does it?

Has it helped you?

You know what it takes to lose weight.

You know what it takes to drop two dress sizes and feel secure with your appearance.

"Calorie deficit" has been rammed down your throat so often since lockdown you're almost choking on it.

But my question to you is, has it helped you?

You indeed need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight. True enough.

But it isn't that simple.

Just because something is simple doesn't mean it's easy.

New Year's resolutions are simple to make but more challenging to follow up.

I want to move away from calorie deficit… thank god, I hear you say, lol.

And give you something you can practice right now to move the needle regarding weight loss.

Your food environment in the house is critically important to be able to stick to a plan.

A big bar of galaxy lying around in the cupboard when you're dieting isn't going to be there long, is it?

If there's a bag of nuts (any type) in my house, I know I'm going to eat them.

Take a look around your house and see how much temptation is around day to day.

Then over time, remove these from the house if possible.

Having your favourite foods in the house staring you in the face day to day makes life difficult.

And if you can't remove it from the house altogether?

Put it in a place that is hard to access.

I've known people to put the chocolate underneath the stairs behind a load of junk.

More effort = more unlikely you are to get up and get it.

If you want more tactics on changing your food environment, drop a like on this post.

Insta-worthy meals

I want to talk to you about something today that goes against the grain.

When you first start on the journey to losing weight.

Becoming the guy you know you can be and feeling happy with what you see in the mirror.

It can be tough to get started.

Especially when, you see gym people “beasting themselves” in the gym until they bleed from their eyes and throw up and it all seems like the best thing ever…

Spending hours each day prepping Instagram-worthy meals, eating a diet that looks way too hard to follow.

It almost makes you feel inadequate, like you can't do what they do.

Lots of my clients come to me and tell me it makes them feel like they’ll never get results like that.

You're told to "suck it up" and get on with it.

“You just don’t want it enough!”

But… That isn’t true.

You just live in the real world and have a normal life.

Events come up; you go away for the weekend with the family, kid's birthdays… all that good stuff.

So you know you can't stick to a rigid plan when these things happen.

But what about if you set up your nutrition in stages?

You know you're free and clear for six weeks.

Nothing unusual in the calendar.

You can try your hardest to stick to the plan, knowing you don't have anything to derail it.

Then when you have a couple of weeks where things happen.

You can ease off the gas a little and be mindful but still enjoy these events.

You're almost cycling your nutrition.

This approach considers that you have a life but also allows you to try hard when the time is right.

Do you think this could suit your lifestyle?

Value yourself highly enough to try

This isn't a post calling you out, I promise.

I want to make you realise you deserve better.

You deserve to get the most fantastic results possible.

Results like 6 stone weight loss and unshrinkable confidence

Look, I know it's tough not to say, "Just one more won't hurt."

Or "I will start again tomorrow". I get it.

I'm not saying that mistakes won't happen… you might fall off the wagon.

That comes with the territory.

But I want you to have higher standards for yourself.

Don't put yourself last. Not again.

If you tell yourself you will prepare a healthy meal this evening.

Then hold yourself accountable.

The higher you value yourself, the more likely you will get fantastic results.

And the more often you stick to doing something you said you would…

The easier it will be to build momentum and smash through your goals.

Will you put yourself first for a change?

We all need support from time to time, don’t we?

There’s almost nothing worth getting in life that we do on our own.

Building a business requires other people’s support.

Building a house requires a team of people working together to get it done.

Changing how you look and feel about yourself is no different.

Life-changing results like appreciating yourself, developing self-worth & achieving sustainable weight loss to be confident in your body forever and live a limitless life.

Are incredible goals to have.

But it will take some time, and there will be a few difficult periods.

After all, we can’t be “on it” all the time, can we?

Life has a funny habit of getting in the way and throwing us some curve balls.

But asking for support from your significant other, your siblings, and your parents and friends.

Will make the process a whole lot easier.

It will help them understand what you’re trying to do and how important it is to you.

They will be able to support you through the more challenging times.

Rather than asking you questions like “What are you doing that for”.

They can ask, “What can I do to make things easier.”

If your other half is really supportive, they may join you on a lifestyle change.

“A problem shared is a problem halved.”

Have you ever tried to go at it alone? How did it work out?

It won't be intimidating

If you waited for the perfect time to start… you never would.

"I'll just wait until I'm motivated."

"Let me just get my birthday out of the way."

Or the old classic

"I'll start Monday"… and Monday never comes.

This perfect time to start comes from believing that you need to be perfect to get results.

Become a prime Jamie Oliver

Train like the Rock

And have a mentality like David Goggins.

Now, if those things were true…

You'd be correct in saying you must wait for the perfect time.

But all you have to do is change one thing to start.

Something easy for you to stick with.

That won't feel intimidating.

Then you won't need to find the perfect time to start. It will feel easy to start now.

You don't need to be perfect to start, but you do need to start to make progress
