Meet Kate, who has been part of our team since January 2023. An outstanding carer with a passion for caring for others for over 9 years. Kate has built trusting relationships with the clients and always goes the extra mile🫶🏼

Kate is a family orientated person who loves to spend weekends away celebrating birthdays/anniversaries. Kate loves to spend quality time with her granddaughter and looking forward to the arrival of a grandson later this year🩵
A love for baking is much appreciated by staff and clients- coffee & walnut cake is one of the favs🧁

💙 A Fond Farewell to Chris 💙

We say goodbye to our much-loved colleague and friend, Chris, as she begins her well-earned retirement.

Chris has been such a caring presence and a true inspiration to both our team and the people we support. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication have touched so many lives, and her absence will be deeply felt by us all. Her career in care has spanned decades and her knowledge that she has shared will be her legacy at Caroline Cares for you. A truly inspirational woman, thank you Chris.

Although it’s a great loss for our team, we’re excited for Chris as she looks forward to more precious time with her family, and to exploring new hobbies and dreams in this next chapter of life. 🌸✨

One of our amazing live-in carers, Candy always has a smile on her face and care at the heart of everything she does 💜.

She’s kind, thoughtful, and loves making sure her clients not only feel cared for but also look fabulous! 👗👜 (Her handbag collection is proof that a girl can never have too many…)

When she’s not helping others, you’ll find Candy enjoying countryside walks 🌿, shopping trips 🛍️, or studying hard for her driving test 🚗.

Her clients love that she’s calm, caring, and always ready to help – plus she has a great sense of humour that brightens every day.

🍏 A Sweet Story to Warm Your Heart 🍏

They say an apple doesn’t fall far from the tree – and this story proves it perfectly!

Our lovely carer Pam was kindly gifted some windfall apples from a client’s garden. Knowing Pam’s sweet tooth, this was a treat she truly appreciated. But the story doesn’t end there…

Pam turned those apples into a delicious homemade apple crumble 🥧 – and then, in true Pam style, she returned to her client with a baked gift for them, complete with custard!

When her client received it, she was so delighted she exclaimed, “No way!” – a moment full of smiles and surprise.

A simple act of kindness, shared both ways, showing that kind gifts really do reap the sweetest rewards. 💛

🌟 Meet the Team – Nadine 🌟

Meet Nadine, who has been part of the Caroline Cares family since 2022. An amazing carer with a heart of gold, Nadine loves getting to know her clients and always goes the extra mile.

She’s full of wonderful travel stories – from banana boats to camel rides, and even unexpected pool jumps – all of which keep her clients smiling, relaxed, and engaged. Recently married, Nadine loves spending time with her husband, family and Grandchildren and is often off on family holidays- soaking up the sun and love from all those close to her.

At home, Nadine’s real passion is her brood of chickens 🐓, and when they’re laying, she loves sharing fresh eggs with her clients – nothing beats a poached egg on toast!

This week , Nadine passed her NVQ Level 4 with flying colours 🎉 – even studying on holiday (yes, from a sunbed in Madeira… now that’s dedication!). We are so proud of you Nadine as we know it's been late nights and essay deadlines.
She’s already putting her new skills into action, sharing best practices with the team, and making an incredible difference every day.

🌟 Meet the Team – Pamela! 🌟

It’s time to shine a light on one of our wonderful team members – Pamela, who has been with us for just 5 months but has already made an unforgettable impact! 💜

Pamela brings with her a wealth of experience in care, and we’re so lucky she shares her knowledge and wisdom with us all. Her passion for caring shines through in everything she does – she already adores all her clients, and the feeling is very much mutual! ✨

Outside of work, Pamela is a family-loving, fun-hearted soul – happiest having cuddles with her grandchildren, enjoying a game of dominoes, or relaxing on long weekends at her beloved static by the river, watching the world and wildlife drift by. 🦆🌿 She loves sharing her riverside adventures with her clients – recently even showing off photos of a river snake she spotted! 🐍📸

But it doesn’t stop there… Pamela recently volunteered her time to throw a themed cricket day for a client who couldn’t wait for the season to start. It was a fantastic day full of cheer, giggles, and good sport – all thanks to Pam’s care and creativity. 🏏💫

🏏💙 A Day to Remember: Cricket, Connection & Care 💙🏏

At 81, our lovely client JC still has the spirit of a sportsman—and recently, that spirit came alive thanks to the thoughtful actions of his carer, Pam.
With cricket season just out of reach and JC missing sport, Pam used her volunteer day to create something magical: a surprise cricket-themed experience day! Signed bats from Yorkshire & Northamptonshire teams, themed décor, fun quizzes, and JC’s favourite fish & chips made for an unforgettable afternoon.
The best part? The joy on JC’s face, the laughter shared, and the stories retold—moments that will stay with all of us. ❤️
This is what responsive care truly means: seeing the person, not just the patient.

Chris has spent many years in the social care sector, leading teams, training staff, and helping with scheduling—but her heart is always with hands-on home care. Her warm personality and eye for detail mean every client is treated just like family. 💐

When she’s not caring for others, Chris is cheering from the sidelines watching her grandson play football ⚽ (rain or shine!) or supporting her beloved Manchester United ❤️🖤. She’s also a proud parrot mum to Roly, her cheeky feathered friend who brightens her day after work. 🦜

Chris is a keen quizzer and loves a game of indoor bowls too—she brings that same enthusiasm and team spirit to everything she does!

We’re so lucky to have Chris as part of our care family. 💫

🌅 Banbury Breakfast Club 🍽️

Our amazing Branch Manager, Anne, joined the Banbury Breakfast Club on Thursday 10th July to represent the voices of those we care for every day.

She spoke passionately about the real challenges people face when being discharged from hospital — especially the frequent delays and cancellations of transport due to shortages. These setbacks can leave people feeling even more vulnerable at a time when rest, support, and timely care are crucial for recovery. 🏥🚗

Local MP Sean Woodcock was in attendance and offered heartfelt empathy, sharing that his own mother works in care. He acknowledged the need for change and committed to raising these issues both in local government and with Baroness Louise Casey, who is currently leading an independent committee into social care. 🙌

Thank you to everyone who continues to share their experiences with us — your voices are helping to drive awareness and change. 💙
