Important Patient Information: Use of Heidi Health at Our Service

We’re writing to let you know that our service will soon begin using a digital tool called Heidi Health to support the care we provide to you.

What is Heidi Health?

Heidi Health is designed to improve the quality, safety, and speed of care. Heidi Health does not replace your doctor or nurse. It simply supports them behind the scenes — similar to a digital scribe — helping with the technical side of recording and organising medical information.

What does this mean for you?

When you visit or speak with one of our clinical team members, they may use Heidi Health to help record and review relevant health information. This allows them to focus more on your care and less on admin tasks.

Consent and your choice

Your consent is important. Our clinical team will always ask for your permission before using Heidi Health during your consultation.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, our team will be happy to discuss them with you.

Data privacy and security

Heidi Health is fully compliant with NHS data protection standards. Your information remains secure, confidential, and is only accessed by authorised staff involved in your care.

We’re confident this will help us provide you with better, more efficient care.

Thank you for your continued trust in our service.

Important Notice: Hot Weather and Health Services

The yellow heat health alert is in effect from 12PM on 18/06/2025 until 6PM on 22/06/2025 across the South East.

The current high temperatures may have serious effects on health and social care services. Here's what you should know:

Higher risk to health – Very hot weather can lead to an increase in serious health problems and deaths, especially for older adults (65+), people with long-term health conditions, and even some younger individuals.

More pressure on health services – Hospitals, GP surgeries, and emergency services may be busier than usual.

Hot indoor spaces – Temperatures inside hospitals and care homes could go above safe levels, making conditions uncomfortable or even risky for patients and residents.

Staff challenges – The heat may make it harder for healthcare and care staff to deliver services effectively.

Risks at home – People who are vulnerable and living on their own or in community care may also face increased risks due to overheating indoors.

Please Note: We do not have any refreshments on site on weekends and the cafe is available weekdays until 4pm.

When to use an Urgent Care Centre?

Overview

When to use an Urgent Care Centre?

Use the Bracknell Urgent Care Centre (BUCC) if you need medical treatment or advice which does not need a visit to A&E. The BUCC treats minor injuries and minor illnesses that require immediate assessment and treatment but do not require care in an A&E Department.

The BUCC is not an alternative to your GP practice, which should usually be contacted first. If you are not currently registered with a GP practice our receptionists can give you information to help you register.
