“I live too far away to help — how do I find someone I can trust to do work in Mum’s home, especially with her Alzheimer’s?”

It’s a concern we hear often from families who are trying to manage care from a distance. Finding a skilled tradesperson is one thing — but finding someone who also understands dementia is something else entirely.

We’ve partnered with A & P Electrical Services Ltd, who have all completed our Home Instead Dementia Training. This means they’re not only experts in their trade — but they also know how to work patiently, respectfully, and safely around those living with dementia.

Whether it’s a repair, an installation, or just popping in to check something, we make sure the people entering your loved one’s home are fully briefed, dementia-aware, and part of our extended circle of care.

Our in-house trainer also supports our community training, so that every professional we recommend aligns with the quality and compassion of the care we deliver.
