💙 Dementia Care Training in Action
Last week we hosted an afternoon at North Wilts Bowling Club, where members joined us for an interactive, informative Dementia Awareness talk.
Carla, our Dementia Care Training expert, shared valuable, practical insights on understanding dementia. The talk included how to recognise the signs, as well as information on how to care for people with empathy and confidence. Through real-life examples and role play, she brought the topic to life in a way everyone could connect with.
Dr. Nigel Gough and Dr. James Gough added their medical expertise, answering questions and giving a deeper understanding of dementia from a clinical perspective.
Debi O’Brien also shared her personal reflections from the Dementia Immersive Bus Experience, highlighting the emotional impact and importance of truly understanding life with dementia. This was clearly a really impactful and educational experience.
