In life, you need to embrace change, overcome hurdles and learn from experience. It is with regret that Hale Equine Vets will cease trading 28th March 2024. I am filled with sadness today, but also nervous intredpidation at what will follow. I would like to inform all my loyal clients, and hopefully some new ones too, that in April 2024, I will be setting up on my own as an Independent equine ambulatory practice, called Cadence Equine Vets. I aim to work with old and new clients to continue to do the best I can for your horses. Please like this page and more info will become available in the next few weeks. Until that time, I will still work my hardest for Hale Equine. :-(

I’m taking a long overdue break this week in the Peak District, with barely any mobile signal. So please bear with me as I’m unlikely to be able to reply to enquiries until my return on 31st Oct.

Apologies if you have not had replies to any PMs you have sent me this year. I’ve just realised my FB account hasn’t been firing on all cylinders and so had missed quite a few messages. If you don’t hear back from me within 48h max, could you try texting my mobile on 07956 354240. Many thanks!

Off on my holidays for 2 weeks. Back to work on 17th Aug. For anything urgent I’d recommend Holly Kerr or Katherine Allard (both ACPAT physios) or Winston Williams- chiropractic. Otherwise, see you on my return! 😊

I’m pleased to say I’m offering my chiropractic veterinary services once again. Due to Covid restrictions I will need to ask you some questions prior to coming to your yard. For instance, please let me know if you or a relative are shielding. I’d prefer to work outside with your horse. On the whole, I will be able to remain at least 1 m from you, but will wear a mask in the brief periods that may not be easy to achieve or if we need to work in a stable. I can’t wear gloves for my work as I need a better “feel” to carry out my examination but will use hand sanitiser regularly. My blocks get disinfected between patients. Keep up the good work everyone!

Dear All. Due to the increasingly steep rise of Covid-19 cases, my governing body the RCVS (I’m a veterinary surgeon too) has advised us to suspend all “routine work.” Given that I will need to be available for emergency work to my diminishing veterinary team, I am, from this moment on, unable to perform any chiropractic work until further notice. We now realise that a large proportion of Covid cases are infectious in the early stages of infection before symptoms are seen. That could at any time include me when visiting your horse, and I cannot put my clients or the NHS at further risk for the sake of non-emergency work. I hope you understand my stance. Stay safe.
