It’s national feet week (17th-23rd april) so what better time to stop and focus on an area of the body that I know well. 👣
We don’t often give our feet a second thought, they work hard for us and we aren’t very forgiving on what we put them through.
But did you know our feet hold many secrets?
✨ their general appearance, colour, temperature, texture all give a glimpse on what our general health looks like.
As a reflexologist I am always taking hints from your feet. This builds an image on how you are feeling. I focus on areas that feel soft, hard, gritty or crunchy or imbalanced.
Take a deeper look at your feet, notice how they change from day to day. Here are some little things to look for.
✨ patches of hard skin often form over problem reflexes to protect these areas, for example if you have hard skin under your little toe you may also experience tension in your shoulders.
✨ if you have very white feet you maybe feeling fatigued.
If you have yellow tinges it can denote frustration.
If you have red areas they can suggest underline reflex imbalance. For example red heels may signal pelvis tension.
✨ lines and wrinkles also change shape and size accordingly to how we feel. Lots of lines may suggest you are feeling worried. Lines on the arches may point to digestive issues.
What to do.
✨ give your feet a squeeze, a rub, a gentle massage. Concentrate on areas that feel warm or cold, hard or soft, swollen or sore.
This week take a deeper look at your feet. Appreciate them. Give them some love. Give them some attention. They deserve it👣❤️
