Race Equality Week is an annual global movement to spark and renew hope, inspire progress, and keep the momentum going in addressing race inequality.

The 2026 theme, is a call to make it everyone’s business. As Hellen Keller said:
‘Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much'

No matter who you are, where you work, or how much influence you think you have, you can make a difference.

Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. It’s a day for all of us to come together to talk, listen and change lives.

Talking openly and honestly can be the first step towards better mental health for everyone. It can reduce stigma and help people feel comfortable enough to seek help when they need it.

You’re not only helping yourself and the people around you in that initial conversation but you’re also helping to break down barriers so other people feel more comfortable talking about their mental health.

Wellbeing Wednesday Tip. As we embrace a new year, let's prioritize our mental health and well-being. Here are three simple ways to boost your mood and stay positive:
Practice Gratitude: Take a moment each day to write down three things you're grateful for. It can be as simple as a warm cup of tea or a kind word from a friend.
Stay Active: Physical activity is a great way to improve your mood. Even a short walk can make a big difference.
Connect with Others: Reach out to a friend or family member. A quick chat can lift your spirits and theirs too.
Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. 💚

Hi, my name is Becky, I’m an Administrator in the service which means I am the 1st point of contact you will have with our service. I have only worked for the service for just over 1 year now, I joined talking therapies as I had my own personal mental health issues in the past. I found using a service just like this 1 really helped me, and I want to give something back as it is very close to my heart! I’m a mum of a very on the go energetic child of my own and my stepdaughter also, in my free time I am usually spending time with my family and friends, walking my awesome dog Barney Bear, eating out or going to the gym to make up for all the eating out lol and helps with my mental health too 😊

Flags at the ready, folks-February is LGBTQ+ History Month in the UK! Observed annually, celebrating LGBTQ+ history, achievements, and rights, with the 2026 theme being "Science & Innovation," highlighting LGBTQ+ contributions to these fields. This month recognises the achievements of LGBTQ+ communities and shines a light on the ongoing challenges they face.

it’s the perfect time to celebrate, educate, and foster inclusivity while recognising the continued journey toward equality. It provides a platform to highlight key figures, events, and milestones in the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance.
Science and innovation impacts our daily lives, from the technology we use to developments in healthcare, as well as helping us to address global challenges such as climate change and access to clean energy.
Diverse teams are essential for the development of solutions which benefit everyone, yet we might often struggle to name LGBT+ scientists and innovators. Check out some of those inspiring individuals at LGBT+ History Month 2026 - LGBT+ History Month

Stress isn’t something we decide to have or not have. It’s a natural response to stressors in our lives. So whilst we can’t control most stressors, we could reframe how we think and respond to them, thereby reducing our feelings of stress.

For example, a deadline at work might be causing you stress, you may not be able to change those deadlines, but reviewing your thinking and identifying positive actions or opportunities could shift the way you feel and consequently react.

So it isn’t as simple as choosing not to feel stressed. The key is to understand your thinking, identify what you have control over and develop coping strategies which can shift your response to stress and make it more manageable.

Hi, I’m Louisa and I am one of the Team Managers in the service. I have worked for the service just over 5 years now, within the same post. It’s a busy role, but I really enjoy building relationships with my staff and supporting them to do their jobs in whatever way I can. Outside of work I am a wife and busy mum of two children (aged 10 + 12) plus a fur baby (Loki the Labrador). I enjoy the outdoors – walking the dog (in all weathers!), camping (in nice weather!). I love doing crafts and upcycling bits of furniture and hunting down treasures from charity shops 😊

Holocaust Memorial Day is a national day that takes place on 27 January.

We commemorate the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered during the Holocaust, and the millions more murdered under N**i persecution.

Prejudice still continues today within our communities and across the UK.

They can check for common fertility problems and can suggest some treatments that might be able to help. After a year of unsuccessful trying, infertility if usually diagnosed.
