International Day of Pink is a global anti-bullying and anti-homophobia event that encourages people to wear pink and stand in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

International Day of Pink aims to challenge bullying, especially when it is rooted in homophobia and transphobia, and to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This day was started by high school students in Canada in 2007 and is now an international anti-bullying campaign in schools, workplaces, and communities.

April 8th is the perfect day to wear pink, spark some conversations, and inspire acceptance.

Hi my name is Ian and I’m a Counsellor and EMDR therapist. I recently joined the team; however, I was student Counsellor here 11 years ago, and lot has changed! I’ve worked in other NHS talking therapy services in Calderdale, Wakefield, Derbyshire and more recently, Surrey. I have 3 adult kids, and one grandson, who all keep me very busy. I love going to the gym and recently started doing kick boxing. I also have a big passion for Star Wars and Huddersfield Town.

International Asexuality Day is celebrated annually on April 6th to raise awareness and celebrate the asexual spectrum, including identities like demisexual and grey-asexual, promoting advocacy, celebration, education, and solidarity for the ace community.

IAD is a worldwide campaign that aims to promote the "ace umbrella," which encompasses various sexual identities where a person experiences a lack of, varying, or occasional sexual attraction. It's an opportunity to raise awareness, celebrate asexuality, educate others, and show solidarity with the asexual community.

The day focuses on creating a world where asexual people feel seen and respected

The 2026 theme for Autism Awareness day is: “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value,” which emphasizes the dignity, rights, and unique potential of every individual on the autism spectrum.

It encourages society to move beyond awareness towards meaningful inclusion and participation.

Our staff have a neurodiversity lead and training sessions throughout the year to support anyone accessing the service who may need adaptations or understanding.

It’s Wellbeing Wednesday, and a good moment to check in with yourself.
How’s your energy today? What do you need more of — rest, connection, movement, or kindness?
Let’s keep building a culture where wellbeing is part of the work, not an afterthought.

Trans Day of Visibility is an annual observance dedicated to celebrating the transgender community and raising awareness about the challenges they face. The day highlights the achievements, contributions, and resilience of transgender individuals, while also promoting visibility and acceptance. It serves as an opportunity to honour trans people who are out and proud, while also advocating for greater equality, understanding, and support for the trans community.

Trans Day of Visibility encourages allies to stand with trans people and helps bring attention to the ongoing issues of discrimination, healthcare access, and social inclusion that still affect many in the trans community.

Hi my name is Hafsah, I am a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (but we call it PWP for short). I have only started working in the service recently and enjoying my time here so far. In my free time I like to go eat at different places and spend time with my friends and family. When I do get some time to myself I enjoy learning more about my religion, working on my business and watching TV shows. My favourite place to visit when I need a little pick me up or some downtime is a coffee place called Tiffin Coffee. A quote I live by is: "Take one step towards me, I will take ten steps towards you. Walk towards me, I will run towards you." Hadith Qudsi
