What is RocketBeats ….
No it’s not zumba, its not a dance class, its not something I’ve made up.
It’s a style of yoga which has evolved from Rocket Yoga & founded by the fabulous - it’s a yoga class set to playlist of music, based on Rocket yoga but with no set sequences and clear directions of intention for each practice.
You know those people who go to the gym and do “leg day” & all that…. in RocketBeats we begin with a clear focus as to what we are working into in the session in a perhaps a similar way…
We go UP, DOWN, FORWARDS, BACKWARDS
Up - shoulder’s - strengthening, elevation, binding, opening
THE POSES: arm balances, inversions, binding poses
Down - glutes, hip mobility/strength
THE POSES: warriors, standing balances, hip openers
Forwards - hip compression, deep core
THE POSES: compression drills, forward folds, core work
Backwards - opening the front body by engaging the back body
THE POSES: lot of leg engagement to eventually find well disributed feel good backbends
