We welcomed the amazing Trevor, who came to sing for us all here at Howgate, and he was amazing as usual.

The people who live with us were singing along to the songs. We had laughter, singing and dancing. It was a really fun afternoon, full of More...Socialising.

Today we celebrated the Belgium culture, in honour of national Belgium day.

In the morning, we did some colouring, with the picture of the Belgium flag and Belgian waffles. Then in the afternoon residents came together to decorate some Belgian waffles, with chocolate, strawberries, bananas and Ice Cream.

All together it was a fun day for the residents.

We went on our second Myley trip, this time we went to Yeadon Tarn.

It was a really enjoyable trip. One of the people who live with us used to live around there when he was younger, he was telling us of all the things he used to get up to. The weather wasn't the best but it didn't stop us from having fun and enjoying More...Fresh Air.

As you can see from the pictures we had a lovely day.

Those living with us enjoyed watching 7 Brides for 7 Brothers; we have waited a long time to watch this film as it took a while to find it. They really enjoyed it, some singing and dancing along, whilst tucking into some delicious refreshments and snacks.

All in all, it was a very pleasant afternoon.

We had the lovely Emma with us singing some of her beautiful songs. The people who live with us were so happy, they were singing along and joining in, and the staff really enjoyed joining in as well.

It was so much fun and everyone got a lot out of it. Emma was amazing as usual - she has a lot of fans here at Howgate!

On the 25th of June, it was International Beatles day. We played Beatles music all day, had quizzes, and we replicated the famous Abbey Road photo.

Our ladies and gents coloured in little card people, and we printed our pictures out to make mini me's. It was so much fun.

Last week, we had Neil the Saxophone player come and visit us. The people who live with us were really happy, and we all had a little sing-song while he was playing the music. Family members joined in too!

It was a really fantastic afternoon and the people who live with us enjoyed themselves immensely.

Fun was had by all and there was lots of laughter.

Today, those living with us celebrated National Rainforest day. We talked about the animals of the rainforest and looked at colourful pictures.

In the afternoon we made trees out of the shape of our hands. It was so much fun, and gave everyone the chance to show More...Creativity, they all turned out amazing. We also made an old school paper game with positive things inside, and those living with us were really excited to play. We had some delicious fruit and ice cream as a snack.

It was a really fun day with lots of laughter!

Here at Howgate, we celebrated Summer Solstice, where Mrs Sunshine came to visit us, spread some sunshine joy, and give out beautiful flowers to those living with us.

We enjoyed some delicious fruit sundae's inside due to the weather. This didn't take away from the experience as they went down a treat.

It was a beautiful day, as we also celebrated the birthday of one of our lovely ladies! She enjoyed some scrumptious cake, a card and singing.

Those living with us enjoyed a visit from a brilliant singer who played the piano and sang some oldies but goodies.

Everyone had a lot of fun singing along, and one of our lovely ladies was dancing to the music. It was an amazing afternoon full of smiles.

This afternoon we had a safari experience in the lounge. We made tickets for people so that they felt like like they were going to the cinema.

Those living with us really enjoyed it, and were captivated by all the animals. After the safari was over, we watched a programme about sloths, and the rain forest as we wanted to show them that a sloth looks like it is smiling. Everyone is keen to do this again in the near future as they had a great time.

We celebrated an 80th birthday here at Howgate House today. We made her a card, gave her a delicious cake and balloons, and sang happy birthday.

She went out in the afternoon with her family to celebrate and had a lovely time.
