๐Ÿ“ฃ New Campaign Launch:

Understanding the Effects of Ketamine Use

We are excited to launch our brand-new campaign, highlighting the risks and realities of use. Our aim is to challenge the misconceptions that ketamine only becomes a problem when use reaches the โ€œextremeโ€, and to ensure people know that support is available.

๐Ÿ” Why this campaign matters:

Recent figures show that in 2024/25, ketamine use among young people aged 16โ€“24 was more common than M**A and nitrous oxide. Services across the country continue to raise concerns about the rise in both physical and social harms linked directly to ketamine use.

๐ŸŽฅ We encourage you to watch the film and take a moment to consider the risks.

If you're worried about your own ketamine useโ€”or someone elseโ€™sโ€” please reach out.

โ„ Winter Wellness Tip: Try something new!

When the days are shorter and nights longer, you might feel discourage to keep up your usual activities or some may come to an end.

Springtime may feel like a long time away, but trying new activities in the meantime will give you something to look forward to in the short-term. It may even help you discover some new hobbies!

โ„ Winter Wellness Tip: Stay Connected!

Dark winter nights can feel isolating, so make time to connect with people you care about. Attending social events, keeping in touch with loved one, and sticking to your usual routine, will all help to promote good mental health.

Donโ€™t let winter knock you off track โ€“ stay safe and stay connected.

๐ŸŸก The Met Office has issued a YELLOW weather warning for from 5pm today to midday Friday, with storm Goretti likely to bring heavy snow to the district.

Our team is out and about today helping people sleeping rough to find much needed accommodation for the night.

If you are rough sleeping and need to access this provision, please report to Salvation Army Day Shelter, 371 Leeds Road, Bradford BD3 9NG in person, between 9am-4pm (we recommend that you get there before 3pm).

UPDATE: If you are rough sleeping and need to access the Cold Weather Provision, please report to Salvation Army Day Shelter 371 Leeds Road, Bradford, BD3 9NG in person, 9am-4pm Mon-Fri.

Staff will carry out an assessment and try to find a suitable bed space for the night.

Our advice would be to get there as soon as possible - ideally before 3pm.

โ„๏ธโš ๏ธ With the weather reaching sub-zero temperatures this week, shelter for rough sleepers across the district will be available tonight as part of the Bradford Council's Cold Weather Provision.

Our Rough Sleeper team is out all year-round offering support anyone who is rough sleeping and using alcohol or drugs. We work with individuals for as long as it takes for them to access the relevant support and accommodation.

Today, we will be working with partners to signpost and support people into emergency accommodation, ensuring that no one has to sleep out in the cold.

If you are concerned about someone who is rough sleeping, please visit https://thestreetlink.org.uk/ to connect them with local services.
